Guest simmons21 Posted July 19, 2004 Report Posted July 19, 2004 The volume bug still presists, making any of Anonymous's ROM unusable for me. Why is he ignoring this bug? Who wants there ringer to go up and down on volume at the phone's own choosing? The AT&T Branded 2003 Rom (not available publically) doesn't suffer from this issue?
Guest pembo Posted July 19, 2004 Report Posted July 19, 2004 I have a question regarding T9 though, when I enter a word and press 0 to cycle through the choices I just get the ding noise and nothing else. Anybody else had this problem? Use the direction keys to cycle through available words
Guest craigblade Posted July 19, 2004 Report Posted July 19, 2004 Hi, If I install the 2003 rom and I'm not happy with it, then can I just install the orange 2002 rom back onto it? craig
Guest markphone Posted July 19, 2004 Report Posted July 19, 2004 The volume bug still presists, making any of Anonymous's ROM unusable for me. Why is he ignoring this bug? Who wants there ringer to go up and down on volume at the phone's own choosing? The AT&T Branded 2003 Rom (not available publically) doesn't suffer from this issue? I had a similar problem. The first time I was on a call, I decreased the volume all the way down, then brought it back up to max. From this point on, my phone has been OK. You can also look at one of the registry entries to see the value of the volume. Forgot which key it was. While in the registry you can use the volume control on the phone, and should watch the volume value change. Do a search for volume with regedit. The values I typically have in the registry are ~ 0, 500 million, 1 billion, 2 billion, 3 billion and 4 billion(if I recall my decimal places).
Guest trewang Posted July 20, 2004 Report Posted July 20, 2004 how do you get rid of the anoying "last word" in t9 after i hit enter? the next letter i type will always be added to the last word of the previous line. for example, i typed "raped" on one line. if i try typing just an "n" on the next, it says "screen" !!!! annoying
Guest steeevc Posted July 20, 2004 Report Posted July 20, 2004 Use the direction keys to cycle through available words Ahhhh.... That's much better than using the '0' key!!! I've also found the 2003 version of Replace Sound so I'm a happy bunny again. Thanks for your help!
Guest Reveal996 Posted July 20, 2004 Report Posted July 20, 2004 Hi everybody! i'm new here and I nedd your help. I tried to upgrade, but it says Bad news the upgrading has failed. I'm trying to find an original rom (IMG file) so I can download a different versione of the operating system and try to load WM03. Any can help me? Thanx a lot!
Guest kurtfhouse Posted July 20, 2004 Report Posted July 20, 2004 for example, i typed "raped" on one line. Interesting choice of example word trewang :?: :P
Guest xklik Posted July 20, 2004 Report Posted July 20, 2004 Thanks Exodia, so it doesn't support SDIO but does it support bluetooth at all?
Guest Exodia Posted July 20, 2004 Report Posted July 20, 2004 The wm2003 OS will support bluetooth, but since the mpx200 has no integrated bluetooth, nor a way to adapt bluetooth (no sdio) then it simply wont work.
Guest stl7 Posted July 20, 2004 Report Posted July 20, 2004 Do we need to flash the new rom MPX200 2003 Update (2), size: 23 MB if we have the old one working?
Guest AvWijk Posted July 20, 2004 Report Posted July 20, 2004 I have done the update with the latest ROM yesterday, and exept for the built-in multiple languages and the changed startup logo (hellomoto instead of cartman!) I didn't found any diffrences with the older one. Not even a sound volume patch which is a major bug  Also you still need the GSM fix to get rid of that 'G' symbol. And stil no dutch language support, you germans don't like us? :P
Guest Reveal996 Posted July 20, 2004 Report Posted July 20, 2004 Thanx xodia, but my problem is that the upgrade doesn't start. Th program recogises the cell, it tries to load in the rom the new program, but it get stuck! What can I do? Do I need to keep the left key pressed or what? I'm stuck... To restart the cell I need to take the battery out for a minute and reinsert it! Am I the only one stuck? Help, please!
Guest chudy Posted July 20, 2004 Report Posted July 20, 2004 did you install the .inf file included in teh .rar? did you read the instructions on how to setup your computer? i'd try following the instructions from scratch...i had a problem getting my phone to be recognized until i followed the instructions exactly
Guest jsz Posted July 20, 2004 Report Posted July 20, 2004 Ok... thinking about upgrading to WN2003 but had a few questions: 1) If the flashing fux0rs somehow... will my phone be dead? 2) How can I make a backup of my current ROM? 3) If the WM2003 ROM is bad and I flash it onto my phone... will the phone be dead or can I flash it again? 4) Will unsigned applications run? Cant think of anymore questions... Although if anyone can post the MD5 hash for the ROM it would be much appreciated! -Jsz
Guest pilotz69 Posted July 20, 2004 Report Posted July 20, 2004 Woo Hoo! First Post! I'm a reader, not a writer. Details: ATT, MPx200, Use Exchange 2003 ActiveSync OTA and used @nonymous ROM without a single problem. Everything I needed to know before performing this upgrade is documented in the included upgrade documentation, and in this forum thread. It took me what an hour and a half maybe to read every post? Every question, from SIM chip issues on T-Mobiles, volume issues, keypad lighting registry hack, Exchange 2003 concerns, to what if I want to flash back to 2002 was all detailed (yes you can re-flash back to 2002). Thanks to those who provided this information in the forums Keypad ligting - In the registry: HKLMSystemCurrentControlSetControlPowerActivityTimersUserActivity There is a value called Timeout that is set to 2 (2 seconds I guess) I set it to 30, and now the keyboard stays on a long time (much more than 30 seconds). I am sure it has some other effects too, don't know them yet except that it also affects the external LCD (which now stays on for 30 seconds after I flip closed the phone... that's something I wanted too, so it's a good side effect There is a temporary fix for those with the Tmobile SIM issue 1. turn phone on... 2. put phone in flight mode... 3. turn phone off... 4. turn phone on... 5. disable flight mode... (Note: once I do that my phone goes into an infinite http://smartphone.modaco.com/Search.php>Search mode, displaying Searching... for provider name, this is fine for getting your contacts) 6. run Sim Manager... 7. turn off/on the phone again... I'm extremely grateful to @nonymous, this is a true example of open source / knowledge sharing at it's best. As a consumer I have to say I am a little dissapointed in ATT/Motorola/Microsoft's finger pointing licencing responsibility crap. MS is not responsible because they only licence the OS to ATT, ATT, aside from thier exceptional customer service record (sarcasm), is certainly not going to / capable of providing a stable resolution, and Motorola, well they just provide the hardware. So leave it to the consumer community and a bright mind to take matters into their own hands. Fully aware that now that I have said this I can prepare to put my foot in my mouth there will probably be an official release soon, regardless, if there is/has been a release in the works good cusomer service tells me to communicate this to your customer base. Anyway.... Bravo, cheers, and hooray to @nonymous.
Guest nytehawk2002 Posted July 20, 2004 Report Posted July 20, 2004 I've had some odd issues since I upgraded the phone. A) Battery Life: I did the upgrade with a fully charged battery, just as instructed. However I can't get the phone to last a full day. Is there a way to "Recondition" the Battery? :P Callers Can't Hear Me: I've made 3 calls so far where the signal strength was good but the callers couldn't hear me. I could hear them fine. Usually if I hang up and call back it's fine. Never had this before.
Guest theiz Posted July 20, 2004 Report Posted July 20, 2004 And stil no dutch language support, you germans don't like us? Â :P You could suggest to lutz/@nonymous to help or to translate; as I did, instead of complaining.....

Guest eddieazone Posted July 21, 2004 Report Posted July 21, 2004 Hi, has anyone installed and successfully run SmartFilter 1.1 on @anonymous rom. Mine, cannot get it run. It says 'Your phone is not fully unlocked'. But, some apps and games (that need unlocked like Binary's SP Task Manager) runs OK. I've tried to apply Alphaflux, but still doesn't solve the problem. Please! Anyone!
Guest BENDER_the_Offender Posted July 21, 2004 Report Posted July 21, 2004 First thanks @nonymus for great work ! Win 2003 works on my mpx200 good but here some very annoying problems : 1 - sms dont' work !? Composer work but send message dont' work ? 2 - very annoying problem is why first letter is not capital !? Any regedit tweak for that ? 3 - why i cant' see time of message ? I see only date but no time ? Sory for my bad english :) ...
Guest stohn Posted July 21, 2004 Report Posted July 21, 2004 Hi, SmartFilter works great on this unofficial ROM. You ALWAYS have to run the PC INSTALLER to install SmartFilter. For further questions please use the standard support from the website novomobile.com. Maik
