Guest briguy Posted July 27, 2004 Report Posted July 27, 2004 I just installed W2003 and I found out how to add my email, but on the home screen in the mail section it only shows SMS, is there a way to have it show email also like in 2002?Try scrolling down on the home screen. I found that the e-mail count was there but off the screen, I had to keep scrolling down to see it. Also i seem to be having trouble connecting to the internet. I try going to a site and it tells me Unable to connect, why? I assume that you configured the proper data connection for your service provider?
Guest peewee_herman Posted July 27, 2004 Report Posted July 27, 2004 Did you abort activesync before you were trying?
Guest ShinyBill Posted July 27, 2004 Report Posted July 27, 2004 Did you abort activesync before you were trying? That shouldn't make any difference as the phone should be turned off when upgrading, but it's worth a try :P

Guest Godfather Posted July 27, 2004 Report Posted July 27, 2004 Ok has there been a fix for the T9 langauge, when typing a new message that it stops putting in the last word from the previous type? Also I installed just the ROM w2003 update, do I need the language update still, cause I think I had the lastest ROM for it. And i have the GSM update but didn't install it. I get a signal on the 1900 band but not the 900/1800 band. Would the GSM update fix that?

Guest bradmatejo Posted July 28, 2004 Report Posted July 28, 2004 Ok has there been a fix for the T9 langauge, when typing a new message that it stops putting in the last word from the previous type? No actual fix yet, but I have found that if you put a space after the last word it won't do that. A work-around, I guess...

Guest Mr55 Posted July 28, 2004 Report Posted July 28, 2004 I have read of the benefits of SmartPhone's 2003 operating system. Please release a version in English. The Anglos among us would really appreciate that. Thank you for your time, efforts and technology!
Guest chudy Posted July 28, 2004 Report Posted July 28, 2004 Mr55, where have you been!?!?! re-read the thread and you'll know its been around for a LONG time now
Guest aliensix Posted July 29, 2004 Report Posted July 29, 2004 yeah! go www.msmobiles.com to check out the latest.
Guest Godfather Posted July 29, 2004 Report Posted July 29, 2004 I have an AT&T MPx200 and I installed the 2003 rom update. I see that I have english and all so do I still need to insall the language update? And I get a signal on the 1900 band but not on the 900/1800 band, will the GSM update fix that and give me signal on the 900/1800 band? Thanks!
Guest Exodia Posted July 29, 2004 Report Posted July 29, 2004 Godfather You do not need to install the language update if youve used the updated rom. As for the GSM update, i do not know if it will give you a signal on the 900/1800 band, but installing it wont hurt your phone, so give it a try.
Guest samov Posted July 29, 2004 Report Posted July 29, 2004 Does anyone have this...I've got 14 files in my "Windows" directory that are taking up an enormous amount of room. Are these built in the ROM or is it OK to remove them? "MsgQueueDataFileMicrosoft Broadcast Message SMS Protocol (Receive Only)" is an example of these files. I have those files too, any ideas anyone? Tia.
Guest Godfather Posted July 29, 2004 Report Posted July 29, 2004 Can someone please tell me what the current version, build is for the latest W2003 ROM Upgrade for the MPx200? Just so I know I got the latest and I did it right. Thanks!
Guest kyrkesmith Posted July 29, 2004 Report Posted July 29, 2004 I believe the way to tell is what screen you get when you're booting up. Do you get a cartman or the official Hello Moto one? The latter is the newest, although I believe there's little difference between the two.
