syncing problems

okay I set up activesync with my phone and all my contacts and calendar synced perfectly, and I copied all contacts to sim.

This was working fine, then all of a sudden I get:

"contacts: action required

resolve items...."

but my USB is playing up slightly so it says:

"items of one or more information types cannot be synchronized. Disconnect and reconnect your device.

To view all error messages and dialog boxes that require your input, you must connect to this computer via infrared or serial/USB cable"

Tried all that.

Sooooo I deleted everything off my phone, all sim contacts and all phone contacts.

Options>rules is set to:

always replace on device

on both.

I don't understand, why won't it sync?? I have no duplicate contacts in outlook and nothing in the phone!!!

HELP PLEASE!!!

Sim Contacts are not used by Activsync

Two options to do,

1, unplug the phone from the PC and delete the Activsync partnership. Now when you reconnect you will have to create a new partnership and resync the phone and contacts etc.

2, Last resort a Hard Reset

Should not have needed to delete your Outlook contacts :?

One tip (bit late now) you can delete your Outlook contacts

then sync an empty contact list. Now in Outlook you can then

choose EditUndo Delete to restore your contacts again.
