You are not connected, the screen is showing that you have it enabled(Big G in the top centre of the screen)

2002 on the mpx had a bug where the G in the center of the

screen was only shown after you used GPRS.

You are only connected to GPRS if there is a G in the signal

bars. otherwise you are not connected.

It's shown on the LCd display the same as it is on 2002, it is

only there to show you that the phone is GPRS enabled.

2002 had a bug where the G dissappeared when you did a

power cycle on your phone and would not reappear until you

used GPRS again 2003 has had this problem fixed.

i put in the settings for vodafone nl; but it didn't worked at all. In fact the big G on top op the screen isn't displayed at all, only when i try to connect afterwards it will display a G. But i can't connect someway.

I just reseted the phone with the 1st anonymous rom and installed the language rom afterwards, because it seems to me that with the gprs radio fix my phone isn't able to use gprs.

I even tried GPRS on my Sony T630 and it worked fine with the same settings.

What should i do? did i do anything wrong?

You probably need to load GMS-fix. I had the "G" all the time and it was discharging my battery at a rapid rate. Since I loaded the GMS-fix, no more "G" and all is well again.

I'm also from the Netherlands and I'm using Vodafone NL, please install the GSM-fix, your problem will be solved. It worked here :P

To turn off gprs simply just double click the red button (drop call) and wait about 10sec, that should do the trick!!
