I have the 2003 running great, but when I transfer all my personal ring tones to the "windows" directly they work fine until I reboot and then they are gone. I checked the file properties and it's not set to read only....anyone have any suggestions?

Ringtones need to be installed to the

StorageApplication DataSounds folder.

The main Windows folder gets rewritten on every start up

so you will lose anything you place there on a reboot.

To keep things tidy it's best to place your ringtones that

are on your storage card in My Documents.

Remember custom ringtones cannot be placed on your storage card.
