What wma ringtones are you using as I cannot get any to work ? (not played too much with wma though)

If you want to use them as custom ringtones for contacts, then you have to put them in: StorageApplication DataSounds

For normal ringtones, I just dump them in root of my SD card & they work fine...

(this is on WM2003).

I made a few myself with Cool Edit Pro 2.1

I dumped it in the root of my storage card (Mounted Volume) and it worked fine, the file size is great

This one was 7.7mb in WAV, now it is 720kb in WMA, no quality loose :P

This one was around 700kb in WAV, now 32kb.

Enjoy, hope you like them :D

Yes you can. I do that sometimes to kill off time, listening to a tune while witing for my gal to visit the little girls' room. With the smartphone 2003, its better handled than its predocessor in the sense where you open and close the flap while your music's roaring off from media player, it wont be "jumbled" for half a sec. (Like when you close your laptop's screen while winamp is playing, your music gets a bit jigged then plays properly again)
