Is there any way I can find out the installation file name after I installed some "cab" file? I tried to search registry database but haven't found anything useful. Guest g4mb17 Posted July 25, 2004 Report Share Posted July 25, 2004 HKLMSecurityAppInstall has a list of apps, and the XML file referenced in there (sorry its called a .tmp file) has the install script (including all the files) in it. But you need to be in priviledged mode to access both these. also remember the installer will delete the install file (ie .cab file) if its not read-only. riki Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
