English 8390 ROM?

Now theres an english version of the phone with lots of bugfixes anyone know if its possible to use the ROM off that phone on the chinese import version? The english version I'm talking about is here

got an e-mail from the UK distributors bout this. "Grey market product is always a difficult point of discussion with regards to support of devices. There are a number of overriding factors that the manufacturer must adhere to which tends to bind our hands on a lot of the solutions. The manufacturer has a duty to protect its sales channels should the product be available in a different country at a cheaper price because of exchange rates. As a consequence the Asian version of the device we agree has had some significant problems with its build in the western markets as this was not developed in conjunction with any testing or accreditation house ( unlike the official western product). As such we have a specific build for the western market that I am not sure will be able to upgrade the devices from ASIA ( the manufacturer sometimes puts protection on the device to prevent this - HTC for example do it with all devices ). All the issues you mentioned in your email have been resolved with the UK product."

so basically we cant use the english rom?...

They are not saying it won't work, they are just saying it MAY NOT work. He/she is being diplomatic as to why they won't give it to you (all good reasons) and he/she is saying it may not upgrade (in regards to the Mitac he has/she has no idea if it wil work).

In other words, NO!
