Guest martin Posted July 27, 2004 Report Share Posted July 27, 2004 What software and file type are you using ? It may be that the video file is not optimised for the smartphone. Guest shyne Posted July 27, 2004 Report Share Posted July 27, 2004 i have a video clip :21 long in mpeg format. i used windows media encoder to convert to wma with settings 250kbps, 320x240, 30fps but i did the same with a different video clip in avi format and encoded it with the same settings and that plays fine. The smartphone processor will probably struggle a bit with most 320x240 @ 30fps video files. The smartphone screen is only 220*176 so I usually convert to that size @ 20-25 fps. The audio I set to 32Kbps or 44Kbps. Have you tried using betaplayer instead. See http://beta.topcat.hu/ You can convert the mpeg file to AVI using PocketDivxEncoder by simply clicking the smartphone picture to get default settings.
