Guest Danmc18 Posted August 3, 2004 Report Share Posted August 3, 2004 Have a slight problem guys, hopefully one of you can help me. i recently did an update on my spv with the latest software from orange. however halfway through the update (i think when the software was being removed from the spv) the process crashed. now when i switch the phone on it goes straight into canary screen and i can't do anything with the phone - if when i try to perform the update now nothing happens. dan Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
Guest awarner [MVP] Posted August 3, 2004 Report Share Posted August 3, 2004 Welcome to the site :P Keep the phone in the Canary screen and plugged into the PC now reboot your PC and turn off any firewalls you may have. There is an update on the Orange site an I had exactly the same problem - running XP pro. Interestingly, I did exactly what is proposed here, and rebooted my PC. Got the blue screen of death on my PC now. Not sure if it was because I disarmed the firewall - I doubt it as I made sure I unplugged the broadband connection first, or if it is entirely a coincidence or ...
