Guest Taoski Posted August 25, 2004 Report Posted August 25, 2004 No - but other apps running in memory might do.... Best to use some sort of Task Manager to clear down any apps that are running first - just in case.... And - now... my 2pence worth...... PocketDivXEncoder and BetaPlayer worked abso-*******-lutely perfectly for me on my old brick SPV. I did'nt change a single setting - it just did what it said on the tin.
Guest micmic Posted August 25, 2004 Report Posted August 25, 2004 But I do have a problem wen i convert a vcd to avi format using Dr.Divx. I use the mobile portable mode and it seems that the AUDIO of the movie when faster than the VIDEO of the movie, (I use beta player to play) so it is weird when I watch the movie. Any clue? or any setting that I should change?
Guest martin Posted August 25, 2004 Report Posted August 25, 2004 Yeah I noticed this too. In Betaplayer, if you go to Options-Settings-Select Page-Player you should see 'Manual A/V offset'. I set it somewhere between -250 and -350. :)
Guest micmic Posted August 25, 2004 Report Posted August 25, 2004 Cool, thanx alot. Should I install the Beta Player in the phone or on the sd card, does that make any difference?
Guest mavisdavis Posted August 25, 2004 Report Posted August 25, 2004 Makes no difference mate. But I always store to my phone (E200)
Guest martin Posted August 25, 2004 Report Posted August 25, 2004 You should install everything possible to SD card. Posted from my SmartPhone!
Guest The PocketTV Team Posted August 26, 2004 Report Posted August 26, 2004 Makes no difference mate. But I always store to my phone (E200) On some Smartphones that use the bogus IPSM driver, it will not run when installed in the phone. We have observed that. In this case, install it on a SD Card.
Guest kr00t0n Posted August 26, 2004 Report Posted August 26, 2004 I convert 1.5 hour movies in TMPEncoder to about 70-80MB landscape mode and they are totally watchable on my mpx :)
Guest mattlyon62 Posted August 28, 2004 Report Posted August 28, 2004 I used pocketdivxencoder and betaplayer, i tried converting 2 fast 2 furious. I found it was jumpy and it often lagged, also it wasnt even fullscreen.

Make sure to use the Smartphone templates, that you will find in the Simple Guide for making MPEG files optimized for Smartphone.
