Guest MaximilianWeisheit Posted August 11, 2004 Report Posted August 11, 2004 Just got the answer PMed to my 0 in T9 question. - HAPPY. So here are some others. ,-) 1. Is it now easier to forward an SMS, meaning that you do not have to delete all the "email - forward" information? 2. Being that the OS is from MS. Did they ,by any chance, include Hotmail email support? (being that hotmail is not pop/smtp) - Like the Option in MS Outlook XP / 2003 for PC. 3. Does T9 rember words for good now? 4. Is it possible to have two different Language Dictionaries (English / German - is german availabe in the Orange UK version) active or at least switch btw them easily? - I saw Motorola hat a function like this Primary and Secondary T9. 5. Is it possible to 'send' / not only receive files / pictures to other phone with the IR port. - my SPV oddly just receives stuff. (of course without additional software) Thanks in advance for all the answeres. So excited for my new smartphone.
Guest battletank Posted August 11, 2004 Report Posted August 11, 2004 Do they make 512MB mini-SD cards yet? I believe they're only available upto 256Mb at the moment. What size miniSD does the Orange package ship with (if any)? The best UK-based price I can find for miniSD's is {HERE}. ---IGNORE ME!!!--- I just found a UK 512Mb miniSD {HERE}.

This was fixed in Windows Mobile 2003. I no longer have to delete email - forward information since getting the SPV E200. 2. Doubt it, because Microsoft are trying very hard to persuade people to pay for Pocket MSN which includes hotmail.
Guest Paul [MVP] Posted August 11, 2004 Report Posted August 11, 2004 3. Yes, it appears so, although the T9 engine still has some (new) quirks! 4. You can easily switch T9 dictionaries, like in the iMate ROM. 5. Not without additional software, you'll need SmartExplorer or something still. And SILVER is my favourite by far (wouldn't mind seeing an Ice Blue on in the flesh tho!) P
Guest mr Posted August 11, 2004 Report Posted August 11, 2004 5. You can do it from the built in Explorer that no-one know is there. Start, Accessories, File Manager. Re miniSDs, I spoke to a supplier a few weeks ago (could have changed since then) and they said that miniSDs are only available up to 256 (really annoying since I wanted a 512) so I bought one of those. Frankly I've never had cause to take it out so I've not found the fact that the slot is under teh battery annoying.
Guest MaximilianWeisheit Posted August 11, 2004 Report Posted August 11, 2004 Thanks for all the answers. - Sounds promissing. I cant wait to get my hands on one of these phones. - Please everybody buy a lot and put them on ebay, because... my nearest Orange store is like 6000 miles AWAY ,-)))) I have been looking at the picture below for 2 days straight now. It will be a big change from my Original SPV to C500 / Qtek 8010. CAN'T WAIT!!!Qtek8010 C500.jpg
Guest Paul [MVP] Posted August 11, 2004 Report Posted August 11, 2004 Built in File Explorer sending... so you can! P
Guest ferryrich Posted August 11, 2004 Report Posted August 11, 2004 Can you send over BT from File Manager? It seems like the only options are send by IR or Email
Guest dh Posted August 11, 2004 Report Posted August 11, 2004 Will there be a Full car kit, not BT?, this is the greatest problem I have with the E200
Guest Paul [MVP] Posted August 11, 2004 Report Posted August 11, 2004 hehe, there SHOULD be, but you can never rely on these things it seems! P
Guest battletank Posted August 12, 2004 Report Posted August 12, 2004 Repeating my question from earlier - what size miniSD (if any) does the Orange pack ship with?
Guest Paul [MVP] Posted August 12, 2004 Report Posted August 12, 2004 Unknown, it and the manual weren't in my box and will follow soon. P Posted from my SmartPhone!
Guest dearsina Posted August 12, 2004 Report Posted August 12, 2004 Can you unlock it? Software and more importantly operator unlocking. Or do we have to wait another few months for some genius to set up a cash-cow website again..? sina london
Guest Simon Desser Posted August 12, 2004 Report Posted August 12, 2004 "Why are we waiting, why-i-are we waiting, why are we way-ay-ting, oh why oh why"
Guest Paul [MVP] Posted August 12, 2004 Report Posted August 12, 2004 Software unlock works fine, no operator unlocking? P
Guest dearsina Posted August 12, 2004 Report Posted August 12, 2004 Why the questionmark? By operator unlocking I mean sim-unlock, ie. run other operators on it, thus dramatically increasing it's reselling value... :-)
Guest Paul [MVP] Posted August 12, 2004 Report Posted August 12, 2004 Oops, should be no operator unlocking! Aside from the official channels of course! P
