MiniSD Prices just got cheaper

So does one definitely have to have an adapter to use these little fellas in a PC multi-card adapter thingy? I've never heard of mini SD until about 5 minutes ago...! [behind the times as usual...]

my kingmax 256 sd card was useless. Even though it was just readable on my original spv, it was not compatible with my card reader. Therefore all file had to be transferred using Activesync. It didn't work with my camera either. Its appearance was different to any other sd card, almost ceramic in texture. Also there was no lock mechanism as on most cards. I regretted going for cheap memory and have since only bought more well known brands.

Just ordered the 256 sandisk from Jetmedia, I will pay a little more for the branded. Sandisk and Lexar are about the best on the market.

Will they take the Kingmax back if it will not work ?

Well I reckon they ought to - if it's not "fit for the purpose" then you're entitled to a full refund. Distance selling regs etc you can send it back anyway within 7 ( i think ) days..

Just received my Kingmax card from eBuyer, and it works fine in both the phone and the card reader (in SD adapter)

Lucky! Just received a 'eNote' from eBuyer saying either cancel or order an alternative as it's out of stock (ie no option to wait for it to arrive). I know it's out of stock, the website said so when I ordered it last week and I'm willing to wait as Orange online are taking forever to get c500s in stock. - looks like eBuyer are trying to wriggle out of selling the mispriced item ;-)

Was it mispriced then? I was quite cheap (£21 inc VAT and free delivery), but it wasn't that much cheaper than everyone else.

I noticed the price went up to £28 immediately after their stock was gone (when the links first appeared on coolsmartphone and here), but I think that was just them putting prices up once they saw demand had suddenly gone up.

Just seemed suspicious to me that it would increase in price by 40% just after a lot of us piled on board and placed our orders.. seems like a mistake to me. Anyway, where does them anywhere remotely near £21 inc? Next cheapest I've seen is 30-odd quid! I'll be on the lookout for one if eBuyer bottle it..!

I would have done, but the order page generated an ASP error.

Mine's sat at the post office waiting for me to pick it up later today. Fingers crossed it works after all the waiting!

Ok, picked it up. Comes with a miniSD->normalSD converter too..

One problem, dunno if it's the card or not, I'm trying to copy over a 140meg mpeg but the progress bar keeps resetting when it approaches halfway, so it's never copying across. Dodgy card?! Dodgy Microsoft?!

It's dodgy Microsoft!. After a couple of progress bar resets the whole thing magically appeared on my c500, and works fine
