bump.

Just curious if anyone has put some time into hacking the registry so the phone will handle AAC files native without having to change the file name.

I don't use itunes but curious as it would be a nice hack to have "just in case."

but then, whats so hard about renaming? just create a runable bat file that is simply.. rename *.m4a *.3gp

then just run it from the folder where the m4a files are, nice and quick

thanks midnight. Once my MPx220 gets in my grubby hands, I'll see if there's a reg hack for it.

BUT, is there a way to run .bat files on the smartphone? I know on the PPC there is...

just run it on the pc before you copy the files over :)

MPx220 may not be able to play em, i dont think they'll be using IA album, and depends if they have 3gp file format i suppose.
