syncing problem with c500

need a little help here guys.....

laptop sees c500 and starts up active sync :)

syncing contacts and calandar commences..... :P

after a few seconds the connection between laptop and c500 (USB) drops and the syncing stops :D

any ideas?????

seeing as you're running from a laptop (limited power) and the C500 charges from USB, i'd guess your laptop's USB can't supply enough power... do you have a powered USB hub you could try it with?

Having the same problem with a PC.

It also does it when using Bluetooth!

This one is a pain.

You could try turning off any firewalls ?

heres a thing...................

just got into work where i used to sync all my diary entries with my spv 100e using active sync.

i didnt load any of the new software, i just plugged my c550 into the usb port.......

pc spotted and identified the c500....i was asked if i wanted guest account or normal (i chose normal).....c500 then downloaded all my appointments with no time out...... :)

maybe the laptop power theory is right.....i will try on another desk top pc over the weekend.....

I had no problems synching my contacts with my desktop PC last night. I just plugged it in and was asked to set up a new partnership then like grease lightning my contacts were on my phone.
