Guest Samsonite
Hello Can I ask for a bit of help please? I can install CAB files fine when the download does it for me ( Futurama skin is excellent!) but i cant do it manually... I have read in a post recently that i need to place the right file into the IPSM directory and then run it ( i have Smart Explorer installed). I cant find IPSM directory anywhere! Either using ActeSync to browse the phone or with aforementioned Explorer. Where does it reside? I have the 2.6.1.3 Orange ROM but wouldnt have thought this was the problem. What am i doing wrong? it's driving me nuts! TIA Samsonite
Guest martin
It's called IPSM on the SPV/SPV E100 and Storage on the E200  There are two ways to activate the cab file from the SPV. 1 Copy cab to StorageWindowsStart MenuAccessories and then select the cab file name from the Programs Menu. 2 Copy the cab file to (usually) the SD card and select it using Smart Explorer. Hope it helps :)

Guest martin
Yep, homescreens are usually cab files too (the PC may recognize them as standard ZIP files). Just copy them the same way as the other cabs and they should install OK :)

Guest martin
No problem :) Oh! one other thing. If the programs, homescreens etc are installed using cab files then the best way to delete them is using Settings-Remove programs. This will delete them correctly. Guest Disco Stu
The 'extra' bits of the skin may show up in the Remove Programs list as SmartTweak
