Guest MaximilianWeisheit
hi guys, just have a quick question. / I tried to search it on the forum but did not get back with any results. / However I am sure it was asked before. SPV / SPV E100 Settings -> Telephony -> Band selection What does GSM Dual stand for? What is does PCS stand for? Are these the different GSM networks? GSM 900, 1800, 1900?? Which is which? Thanks, Max
Guest martin
You're correct max They were originally called GSM900, DCS1800 and PCS1900 which are just different GSM bands. GSM dual is GSM 900/1800 and PCS is GSM 1900 I believe only T-mobile USA actually use GSM1900 :) In the UK we use GSM 900 and GSM 1800.
Guest MaximilianWeisheit
I have it set on GSM/DCS dualband and use US T-Mobile in New York?!?! Any thoughts? Maybe I should switch to PCS get better coverage.
Guest martin
I remember when members had to set their phone to PCS to get it working at all in the US. You could be roaming on a GSM 900 or 1800 network. What's AT@T GSM again ? I would try PCS and see what happens. Posted from my SmartPhone!
