Guest tsutton Posted January 12, 2005 Report Posted January 12, 2005 How about FlashBay? I got my 512MB from them. They're selling it for £39.99 for 512mb More memory size available here - http://www.flashbay.com/index.php/cPath/59
Guest Confucious Posted January 12, 2005 Report Posted January 12, 2005 Tony - why diod you buy from Flashbuy at £39.99 when the previous post shows you where to get them for £38? Was the postage cheaper or something?
Guest tsutton Posted January 12, 2005 Report Posted January 12, 2005 Please note: Flashbay list these prices without VAT

Guest v0rtex Posted January 19, 2005 Report Posted January 19, 2005 SEE 1ST POST FOR NEW PRICE FOR 512mb cards (£35 inc vat) <{POST_SNAPBACK}> They've been out of stock for weeks. Bought one yesterday from http://www.microdirect.co.uk (as their warehouse is just up the road from me), £39.
Guest feck_on_a_stick Posted January 20, 2005 Report Posted January 20, 2005 Can someone please tell me the difference between.... http://www.aria.co.uk/ProductInfoComm.asp?ID=15894 and http://www.aria.co.uk/ProductInfoComm.asp?ID=16465 ? ..............apart from the price that is!!! The cheaper one is in stock, but the Kingmax has been out of stock for days, and Im not the patient type lol Id imagine its more of a case of you get what you pay for and the Kingmax one is more reliable or faster or something like that, but any advice to a newbie like me would be appreciated. Cheers

It can't even read the thing. Avoid like the plague!! The first one I got was off eBay for around 40 quid, an RiDATA 66x card, and that works fine... but my brother stole it. Guest danutza Posted January 27, 2005 Report Posted January 27, 2005 hey guys, anyone knows a shop / e-shop in Germany where I could buy a 1Gb mini SD card from??? :D I'm desperate here!! help [-o<
Guest danutza Posted February 3, 2005 Report Posted February 3, 2005 I searched a lot for a shop / e-shop in Germany that sells the 1GB mini SD card but didn't find any that would have it in stock. :frown: They all said the suppliers still didn't deliver them and it would take some more time, like 1-2 months  ... so I finally decided to get a 512MB one and I should receive it this weekend 8)
Guest westleyl Posted February 14, 2005 Report Posted February 14, 2005 FYI: Company claiming to have 2Gb mini-SD soon. Check out the launch poster (OK - marketing stuff); the mini-SD card has 2Gb written on it. Story on engadget, http://www.engadget.com/entry/1234000050024726/ leads you to the web site, http://www.microdia.com with the launch poster. Hopefully a relase like this might force the 1Gb price down - or allow us to have 2Gb cards by the end of the year.

As you say, hopefully it will drop the price down even further for 1GB and 512MB range. Edited February 14, 2005 by tsutton
Guest Genieuk Posted February 14, 2005 Report Posted February 14, 2005 I got mine last week from www.valueflash.co.uk It's a Integral 512mb and includes a minisd to sd card adaptor. Total cost was £40.70 including postage. I was gonna get the KingMax from Ebuyer, but as mentioned it's been out of stock for absolutley ages, so just couldn't wait.

Guest chucky.egg Posted February 19, 2005 Report Posted February 19, 2005 MobyMemory are now selling their 1Gb mSD card with adaptor, and card reader for £99.99! http://www.mobymemory.com/proddetail.asp?p...mb%5FMOBY%5F001
Guest RobertCeuppens Posted February 21, 2005 Report Posted February 21, 2005 I just oredered a 1gig from moby memory!... he he
Guest Confucious Posted February 21, 2005 Report Posted February 21, 2005 I am holding off buying a 1Gb card at the mo. If 512Mb cards are going for £35 it is only shortage of supply holding the 1Gb card prices up. I bought a 1Gb SD card when they came down to £99 and within a couple of months they were going for £60. While I envy you, I will strugle on with my miniscule 256Mb card for a couple more months to see what happens.
Guest tsutton Posted February 21, 2005 Report Posted February 21, 2005 I'm going to wait for the big price drop for 1GB.
Guest RobertCeuppens Posted February 22, 2005 Report Posted February 22, 2005 Wehey! My 1 gig came today! Less than 20 hours after I ordered it! Quality... java script:add_smilie(":D/") eusa_dance.gif
Guest RobertCeuppens Posted February 22, 2005 Report Posted February 22, 2005 Why don't my smilies work?(
Guest Confucious Posted February 26, 2005 Report Posted February 26, 2005 I see no reason to buy a 1Gb card just yet and will wait for prices to come down. I have 256Mb free on my 512Mb card (although I'me sure I will fill it up!). Did I just say 512Mb? It arrived in the post this morning  A BIG THANKS to Chucky.egg. My 256Mb card will be back in the post to you today. Don't you just love this forum?
Guest Exploited Posted February 26, 2005 Report Posted February 26, 2005 I don't really see why anyone would pay 99 pounds for a 1GB card and 35 pounds for 512 when the rest of Europe is selling miniSD for prices roughly equivalent to the normal SD-prices. Since (mini)SD 512 sells for about 55 euros and SD 1GB for 80 euros a normal price for 1GB miniSD would also be around 80 euros (roughly 58 GB pounds).
