Guest smartphone-web.com Posted August 27, 2004 Report Posted August 27, 2004 The HTC Feeler is also to be known as the Qtek 8020 and will have the same specifications as the existing HTC Typhoon (Orange C500 / Qtek 8010), but with different keyboard and a joystick! More Pictures and info here at smartphone-web.com.

Guest Colonel Trouble Posted August 27, 2004 Report Posted August 27, 2004 Its the mpx100 !!! with a diff name ! :) Any chance of an english version of that story ? :P
Guest cybercamel Posted August 27, 2004 Report Posted August 27, 2004 If you right click on the page, you'll get an option to translate into English! Not sure if it's just an XP option though.
Guest rikwebb Posted August 27, 2004 Report Posted August 27, 2004 Well I am XP and dont get that option ?? Rik
Guest ultimasnake Posted August 27, 2004 Report Posted August 27, 2004 you have the google toolbar installed cybercamel :) but nice phone :P
Guest badboy4life Posted August 27, 2004 Report Posted August 27, 2004 Its the mpx100 !!! Exactly what I was thinking. Looks nice, but shame no MegaPixel camera :)
Guest Paul [MVP] Posted August 27, 2004 Report Posted August 27, 2004 It's IDENTICAL specs in every way to the C500, but looks slightly different with a different joystick... that's about all there is to know :) P
Guest robpow Posted August 27, 2004 Report Posted August 27, 2004 I've got one question for Mr Orange: When?
Guest Paul [MVP] Posted August 27, 2004 Report Posted August 27, 2004 That should probably be IF :-) P Posted from my SmartPhone!
Guest squall Posted August 27, 2004 Report Posted August 27, 2004 IF this is released in the uk i would be asking O for a nice shiny new one, weak case i know but that has to be 8 way!
Guest Crispy Posted August 27, 2004 Report Posted August 27, 2004 Damn, that's one sexey beast
Guest Y-Wing Posted August 27, 2004 Report Posted August 27, 2004 These HTC code names just get better and better! :)) I doubt it will be out on Orange for a while, if at all. They've got crateloads of C500's to shift, although this could hit sales as some people might decide to wait. They definitely won't make the same mistake as with the E100 and announce it too early. Looks cool though, rather like that design classic the T610. Posted from my SmartPhone!
Guest squall Posted August 27, 2004 Report Posted August 27, 2004 MPX100 - look familiar?motorola_mpx100.jpg
Guest Marko31 Posted August 27, 2004 Report Posted August 27, 2004 Damn ! why Orange does'nt think about it ? ... DAMN IT ! !
Guest mavisdavis Posted August 27, 2004 Report Posted August 27, 2004 I'm Glad I didnt jump on the C500 band wagon. :) Gonna hold for a bit me thinks
Guest cybercamel Posted August 28, 2004 Report Posted August 28, 2004 you have the google toolbar installed cybercamel Well you live and learn, always thought it was XP  It is a nice phone, but I always struggled with the joystick on the E200. It was always to sensitive and was prone to being compressed! The set up on the C500 is much better in my opinion, but then I'm not a gamer!
Guest morpheus2702 Posted August 28, 2004 Report Posted August 28, 2004 Its the original SPV and E100 all over again - same hardware in a better looking shell!
Guest Y-Wing Posted August 28, 2004 Report Posted August 28, 2004 Over on the C500 forum Lutzh is hinting that this will soon be released in Germany on one of the networks over there - Vodafone, T-Mobile, E-plus, O2?? I'd put my money on O2 given previous HTC association. Posted from my SmartPhone!
Guest Coolbox Posted August 28, 2004 Report Posted August 28, 2004 Morpheus: What do you mean by the original E100 over again??? I heard that it should be the same HW as the c500.....am I wrong??
Guest morpheus2702 Posted August 28, 2004 Report Posted August 28, 2004 Sorry, misunderstanding here. Recap of history: SPV released late 2002 - problems with dust collecting under screen and looks a bit ugly. SPV E100 released July 2003 - dust under screen problem solved, looks a lot better than the SPV, but exactly the same hardware underneath C500 released August 2004 - problems with dust collecting under screen and looks a bit ugly HTC feeler released ??? - hopefully dust under screen problem solved, looks a lot better than the C500, but exactly the same hardware underneath See the pattern?!?
Guest Monolithix [MVP] Posted August 28, 2004 Report Posted August 28, 2004 VERY nice, i'm glad they've finally got the iPaq designers at HTC onto the Smartphone projects! :)
Guest Gorskar Posted August 28, 2004 Report Posted August 28, 2004 Looks good. If that phone comes out soon (ahead of the mpx220) on any network I'll snap it up!
