Plugins, xml files and other newbie questions

First of all, I know this could be a newbie question, Í´m sorry :oops:

I want to install some home screen plugins like call-progess plugin and missed calls plugin, I have these two pieces of code, but I don´t know what to do with them, how can i convert this into xml files?? and where I have to put the xml files??

Copy the full.home.xml from Windows on your device. Look at this on your PC. Change the name and of this, add your xml plugins and copy it back on the phone to StorageApplication DataHome

Just to be a bit more specific - you don't have to install any plugins. The plugins you mentioned above are default in the system anyway, so all you need to do is include these in an xml file.

As Mathias says, open an xml file in notepad on your PC & have a look at the layout. You can do this with any xml file you like. Try replacing a section of the xml with the code you have above & see what happens.

The absolute best way to get into xml is just mess about with it & see what happens when you change stuff on your phone, it'll soon make sense.
