Guest exe Posted October 31, 2004 Report Posted October 31, 2004 Kenny, I installed v9 when you posted it and it's working really well. I'm on C500, pre-update. I like the idea of one-off alarms self-deleting. But I don't like the idea of having to confirm a snooze or a dismiss of an alarm. At that time of the morning I can't read the screen, so I can't be making choices. I know the left button will dismiss it and the right will snooze. I can't cope with any more than that. :D I noticed the World time coming up as GMT before I set it to anything else. Of course, GMT was one hour earlier that UK time until tis morning. I wonder if whoever was having the problem has found that it's adjusted itself now. One last thing. My clock stuck at 1.09 am this morning. I wonder if it was when windows was trying to change the time? Did anyone else have the problem. When I looked at it this morning, I went into world alarm ,and only then did the clock start ticking again. I don't think it's anything to do World alarm, but I'll make sure I'm not relying on the alarm at the next clock change. Once again, kenny, thanks for the great work on this. Isabelle Yes, the clock has adjusted itself now, i just thought that the app would also have a daylight savings setting as well, it didnt cross my mind that GMT time would be static ^_^ Regarding the clock freezing, mine just warned me that it has been adjusted, and worked fine (phone is pre-orange.patch). [edit] I just hope that was the message i saw on my mobile's screen and not the one i saw on my computers screen :? In any case, the clock didnt freeze at all.[/edit]
Guest kennyg Posted November 3, 2004 Report Posted November 3, 2004 CityTime Alarms 1.0.0 has been released! Download from www.codecity.net, www.handango.com OR www.smartphone.net. This will replace your current version of CityTime Alarms for Smartphone! Uninstall the current version, leaving the databases (you will be prompted), install the new and you should be off and running. From the last beta: - 3/4 minor bug fixes. - Menu updates - HiRES support - Reduced memory footprint (by about 70KB) You can install the download from these sites and I will send out registrations codes to those who helped with the beta. Thanks! Kenny.
Guest fozzie Posted November 3, 2004 Report Posted November 3, 2004 Excellent news Kenny. Off to download it now ^_^
Guest drblow Posted November 3, 2004 Report Posted November 3, 2004 Trial version installed & working from handango!! ^_^ Liking the blue LCD theme alot! Great work Kenny!
Guest izzyK Posted November 3, 2004 Report Posted November 3, 2004 Blue LCD is my favourite too. Decided to download CityTime as well. It's pretty cool, will come in very useful I think. Both products working well. Thanks.
Guest I. C. Monsters Posted November 3, 2004 Report Posted November 3, 2004 I've downloaded it, just got to wait to get home to install it. I think I've been waiting for this app since I got my first SPV. Being an insulin dependant diabetic, I have to inject at the same time everyday. Without an alarm I would struggle to remember. So, there you have it KennyG, you're a lifesaver! Again, many thanks.
Guest SolidTechie Posted November 3, 2004 Report Posted November 3, 2004 FWIW: Code City is still showing it as being a beta...
Guest kennyg Posted November 3, 2004 Report Posted November 3, 2004 FWIW: Code City is still showing it as being a beta... Thanks! I need to add that to the possible uses, one of the reasons I wrote it initially, was to remind me to give my kids and myself medications as needed... Thanks, Kenny.

Guest fozzie Posted November 6, 2004 Report Posted November 6, 2004 Kenny, A small formatting bug; I've got an alarm due to go off on Wed 10/11/2004 but is displayed as "Wed 10/11/2 ..." Everything else working great though. Like the LCD Blue Theme 8)
Guest schluzenbach Posted November 7, 2004 Report Posted November 7, 2004 Hi, i have downloaded your Trial my phone is a t-mobile SDA when i once clicked on LCD-Theme my system-font turns to LCD in great Letters  The only thing i can do is to delete the LCD-Font I think this is a bug Greatings Volker
Guest scottb Posted November 7, 2004 Report Posted November 7, 2004 There are several posts in this thread regarding the fonts. I deleted the LCD font too because the Opera browser was using it. The app still works fine though. Kenny has contacted other developers to alert them about their apps not specifying necessary fonts. Posted from my SmartPhone!
Guest fozzie Posted November 7, 2004 Report Posted November 7, 2004 No problems here, on my Orange C500, with Opera or any other apps since the full release.
Guest kennyg Posted November 8, 2004 Report Posted November 8, 2004 Kenny, A small formatting bug; I've got an alarm due to go off on Wed 10/11/2004 but is displayed as "Wed 10/11/2 ..." Guest kennyg Posted November 8, 2004 Report Posted November 8, 2004 Hi beta testers! Expect a private message in the next little while, I don't have full names, for most of you so I'll PM you asking for Name and Email for my records. I'll being sending codes for all you guys, pretty much anyone that offered solid feature advise or responded to the thread or privately to me. Thanks for all the effort you guys put in, a reg code is the LEAST I could do for you! Thanks, Kenny. PS, sorry it took so long, I haven't been keeping too close a track on who has been helping so I went back through the entire thread and email to try and make sure I got everyone.

Guest nickcornaglia Posted November 9, 2004 Report Posted November 9, 2004 Not speaking for kenny... Trial and Beta are over....now ya gotta buy it
Guest gpcarreon (MVP) Posted November 9, 2004 Report Posted November 9, 2004 @Kenny Got the code. Thank you very much.
Guest exe Posted November 9, 2004 Report Posted November 9, 2004 One small "bug" (dont know if its intentional). Before v.1, i was using the simple LCD theme. It showed any expired alarms using red color-coded font, which helped me quickly look through them to see which ones were off. I just installed v.1 now, and i tried using the LCD blue font and the orange font, they dont have a distinction in colors regarding the expired/non-expired alarms, the blue inversed theme has a miiiiiinor ( ) color distinction. It would be nice if they all had color distinctions
