Guest dazh71 Posted November 9, 2004 Report Posted November 9, 2004 Just recently bought an Mpx200 from Ebay, I love it. Comes with WM2002, but I downloaded all the things to flash it to 2003 The question is: should I? What would I gain... Is it worth all the problems I may get? Please share your experiences/opinions Wilgar I did it this morning and its running excellent! Im happy with it! I didnt use MMS and glad orange Plug-In is gone! T9 works ok for me just use the bottom soft key to change words, Make sure your phones switched off and fully charged put phone in cradle holding the left soft key, run software, Dont forget to do a hard reset when finished! Hope this helps! Any good 2003 software any1?
Guest MurphmanL Posted November 16, 2004 Report Posted November 16, 2004 Im loving the upgrade  Missing some user memory i used to have tho :D One thing i cant figure is where 2mb of user storage is being used by... I just can't see wtf is taking the memory up, as I was under the impression the OS is flashed to the ROM and not the user flash memory :?:
Guest awarner [MVP] Posted November 16, 2004 Report Posted November 16, 2004 The OS is more memory hungry than 2002 so you will have less space on the phone.
Guest MurphmanL Posted November 18, 2004 Report Posted November 18, 2004 Ah, I too was wondering where that 2mb disappeareed to, thats a shame. Ive noticed my loudspeaker no longer works in calls! I Press the green phone to turn it on, the speaker icon appears yet the loudspeaker does nothing - zilch! Any workaround for this by any chance?
