Now we are getting useful tips, perhaps someone would care to explain me how to change the order of the icons in the launch bar? On previous version you could just name the links 0, 1, 2... and so on, but not in the current version. Any ideas?

Try looking in xbar_cfg.ini.

I rename my .lnk files with numbers in front. For example:

0 Opera.lnk

1 Orneta Notepad.lnk

2 Smart Explorer EN.lnk

etc.

Hello.

I've just got my SMT5600, and bought Xbar as my first program to put on it.

I love it thus far, but I can't seem to get the 'close all apps' button or 'close all but selected' button to work. I call xbar, press 2 as per the manual, and nothing happens.

Is there something I'm doing wrong, or some way to correct the problem if it's not me?

Oh, and also, when calling Xbar, I sometimes get the menu button at lower right, and sometimes I don't. It should always have menu when called, right?

What version of xBar are you running? I'm guessing it's 2.x as you've posted in this thread. The '2' doesn't do anything; RRTFM :lol:

(Hint: '1' key - short & long press)

Use the help screen in xBar (press 9 while xBar is active), not the manual on the Web site. The Web site says 2 kills all apps. The help screen says a long 1 press kills all apps--this is the correct one (as pointed out in fozzie's post).

Sorry, I'm using the 2.5 version, which I got 2 days ago.

I read the manual, but didn't realize the Key 9 help superceded it... actually, I hadn't thought to check the in-program help at all.

I apologize, and thanks for the information. I'll try not to be such a bumbling newb in future. :lol:
