Removing or making the indicator bar transparent?

Hey guys and girls,

Newbie C500 owner here, I have downloaded some rather cool wallpapers from my new phone but the top part of the picture if always obscured by the orange bar along the top (signal strength, gprs etc)....

Is there anyway of making this clear or better still removing the bar completely but retain the signal strength etc?

Hello m8! Welcome to modaco! ^_^

Open the relevant xml file on your PC, scroll down to the plugin called 'icon bar'. You'll see bgcolor="#xxxxxx" - where xxxxxx is a colour code. Change that to "transparent". That should do the trick! :wink:
