Cingular and Motorola

They both claim that the mpx 220 is not officially released ???.What is happening ???Aren't the boxes and phones cingular branded ???.Well they are,but still cingular is denying that it has been officially released.

Another bad part.I think we have been used as test dummies.Look at the version of your phone.Test phones come out with a number starting with 0,Official released phones have a 1.Look at yours...

if you go to a franchise store (meaning it's not owned and operated by Cingular), they are usually clueless about everything. They don't know what's coming out phone wise until they get them. Go to the Cingular website and check out the list of corporate stores. If the store you went to wasn't on that list, consider them dense.

I've spoken to Cingular customer service and they knew all about it. Every Best Buy (in an area that Cingular has service) has officially announced and advertised the MPx220. If it wasn't an official launch, I'm pretty sure that both Motorola and Cingular would be having a fit right now.

The serial number thing isn't true. So if you're basing your theory on that, don't worry. If my phone is number 099999 or 100000 it's not a big deal. They are only 1 digit apart.
