^_^ :D :P

I have a G2 bluetooth headset and after hours of frustration, have found

a way to play music through it, the best bit of all its easy to do!

This definitely works on the G2 but should/may work on all Headsets that

dont play music normally!(i would be interested in finding out).

so here is how to do it,

 Turn off your headset and mobile phone.

 Switch on your mobile phone.

 As soon as the the sunrise/set disappears - Press and hold(to

turn on) the main Headset button.(takes a couple of seconds), then

release.

 If the Headset does not make its connecting bleeps, the timing

was wrong, repeat the above steps. Please note my phone has lots of

apps installed and takes a while to boot up so timings above may be

different on every phone, experiment until you find the correct time to

turn on your Headsets.

 if the above was done correctly, you should hear the

connecting bleeps, then a final tone to indicate the Headset has

connected to the phone(on mine this is before the homescreen comes up)

 now any sound that would normally come through your phone

will come through your Headset.

When you get a call the music will stop and your phone will go back to

normal headset mode, so everything works how it should. repeat the above as nessassery.

i hope this benefits at lease some people, your feedback will be much appreciated.

That's a 'feature' if you know what I mean ( no it's not a bug, honest guv).

It really should be option in the firmware though. Little things like this should really have been thought up by the markleting department.

I use a jabra BT200 and all i have to do is press my connection button once. when the little headset icon pops up on my imate SP3 all i do is start media player and voila i have music playing. BIG DEAL though, are you guys really begging for listening to music on one ear through a relatively crappy speaker? why not use the earbuds provided thats what i do

Pressing the connection button on my Motorola HS810 when music is playing causes it to come through the headset, didnt have to go through all that elaborate "turning phone and headset on and off" stuff.

fantastic, that works too, i guess they both work the same way, press voice dial before the vioce dial program has started (cdial.exe ), does anyone know how to make a shortcust to kill the cdial.exe process, that i can just put in the start menu and click on when i want to listen to music?

hmm i am running a 5600 on AT&T rom, I see no option to kill processes (like cdial.exe) just applications can someone PM me on how to do this? I also tried locking the keypad but cannot play music thru BT with logitech mobile freedom headset.

during normal use I press the button and the voice dial tags come up, i can hear the music for a second, then it goes away after no voice tag starts..

anyone have any ideas??

:D

sorted it out, downloaded the sp http://smartphone.modaco.com/viewtopic.php?t=7065>Task Manager, took out cdial.exe and now I have mp3 thru BT!!

Nice one. can you let me know what type of hadset you have and also do you have issues with sound quality when you have you phone on you pocket on the oppersit side of your body to what you headset is on you head(headset on right ear, phone in left pocket). because i am and it does not seem quiet right(so much for 10 meters).

I am wanting to find out if its a problem withthe hardware or if it is the same for everyone. thanks

Presumably you could use this method with the Bluetake stereo headphones.

There are also some new bluetooth stereo headphones for the HP Ipaq which might work.

Anyone tried either of these?

Killing the cdial process works for M3000 too

This may be a long shot...but im wondering if i put a better speaker into the unit whether it would make a difference to the quality?

but, does anyone know what cdial.exe is or does? does killing it screw things up in any way?

Does this method work with car kits like the Jabra Sp100?

If so, how clear is it?

Here's hoping, this may solve my problem with listening to audio books in the car.

@sevenfire

If you have SP Task Manager...

Launch application > File

1. Check 'Show process list'. 'Hide system apps' should not have a check mark.

kill18iz.jpg

2. Look for 'cdial.exe' on the list of running process name.

kill28bd.jpg

3. Highlight 'cdial.exe' then Kill process.
