mine only pulls a "DING," even tho I replaced the wav files to the xp ones and tried to make it read only too.. I put them in here \Storage\Application Data\Home.. thx guys

NVM ! it works !!!! thanks anyways guys! this is great - it should have been implemented in the MS Sounds settings to begin with.. man I'd really like to see when there will be the perfect phone - probably never? lol 8)

Is there any way to adjust the loudness of the wav sounds through the plugin or a registry edit, or do I need to edit the wav file somehow to get it to play louder?

You can play with the audio properties of the wav file. I am comfortable with this settings:

You can use dbPoweramp to adjust the wav file properties.
