Guest jledbett Posted November 22, 2004 Report Posted November 22, 2004 Hello all, I have my SMT 5600 and am having game problems. Scumm, Wolf3d, PocketSNES and Gnuboy all freeze on me. I have my phone applications unlocked and have run speed boost. Is there anything I can do to fix this?
Guest jledbett Posted November 23, 2004 Report Posted November 23, 2004 I hate to bump myself but I really need help. Maybe a little more depth is needed. Let me start with saying my profile is silent, blacklight time out is never, display time out is never list sensor enable is off. Worms world party works fine. Applications are unlocked and speedboost is applied. Scumm- games starts then freezes, sound is off, game works fine on pc. Indy3 Wolf3d- using the shareware, works fine at home, gets 15 seconds of play then chokes. PocketSnes- Slower than dirt Please help!!!!!!!!!
Guest jledbett Posted November 23, 2004 Report Posted November 23, 2004 Just got done with picodrive and hit same problem, gots for 30 seconds then freezes. Maybe this helps it freezes so I can see the battery and signal bar and part of the game screen. Thanksg
Guest martin Posted November 23, 2004 Report Posted November 23, 2004 Wolf 3D also crashes on my C500 but it seems to be OK if I turn the sound off :? Can you try that on the 5600. It's possible that all these games have unrelated issues with the HTC Voyager and the software just needs to be modified. At least I'm hoping that's what it is
Guest jledbett Posted November 23, 2004 Report Posted November 23, 2004 Yup it freezes also. I keep seeing the battery bar in the background. I just dont understand,I am reading alot of post from people who have the same devices but arent having this freezing problem. Need Assist.
Guest jledbett Posted November 23, 2004 Report Posted November 23, 2004 Here is a quick question . There was an update for the C500 that seemed to fix all of you guys problems. Can I use that same update? or is there one already in place for us?

With regard the battery symbol appearing when the game locks up, have you checked to see if the home screen timeout affects it? It's in settings/home screen/
Guest jledbett Posted November 23, 2004 Report Posted November 23, 2004 I have the home screen time out set to never, is this where is needs to be. Also going back to Media Player 9, is this necessarily a bad thing? I dont know what the big differences are, plus I think I will use different software for watching movies and playing mp3s.

Doesn't sound like the problem can be home screen time out then... With regards the difference between WM9 and WM10, I'm not sure but I think it'll mean you can no longer fast forward or rewind tracks, and you'll no longer have album graphics. Can't be sure as I've never seen Windows Media 10 for Smartphone, only read about it on here...
Guest jledbett Posted November 23, 2004 Report Posted November 23, 2004 Have you used the update? Did it help?
Guest apexi350z Posted November 24, 2004 Report Posted November 24, 2004 Mini Pocket Golf freezes on my SMT 5600, during the menu screen.. I have to remove the battery to reset it. PITA.
Guest paxkine Posted November 25, 2004 Report Posted November 25, 2004  I agree playing NES emulator on the 5600 and it pauses every 5-10 seconds or so and makes any game playing very difficult. although, sometimes on a fresh boot with everything killed on the task list it runs smooth as silk, noticeably smoother than on the mpx200!!!! if i could just get it to run like that all the time I would be golden...
Guest obiwanblee Posted March 31, 2006 Report Posted March 31, 2006 Did this problem ever get resolved?
