Guest cat999 Posted December 5, 2004 Report Posted December 5, 2004 I have recently purchased a Pay as you Go SPV C500. I have unlocked it and am now using a Vodafone PAYG sim card. The problem I have is with the settings for Vodafone GPRS/WAP/MMS. I went to the Club i-mate site where you can download the Vodafone PAYG Settings for the SP3 which is the same model of phone as the SPV C500. I was able to download the programme but when I try to run it on the phone it does not install and comes up with the following messages. "Installation Failed - The programme or setting cannot be installed because it does not have adequate system permissions" when I press OK the second message is "Installation failed - The programme or settings cannot be installed because it is not digitally signed with a trusted certificate." I would appreciate if somebody could help me out with either a method of loading this programme on my phone or a step by step explanation of how you manually install Vodafone GPRS, WAP & MMS Pay as you Go settings. As I am new to this phone I would be grateful of any help. I have already tried several of the manual settings on this forum, but without any luck. I can only connect to GPRS but not WAP or MMS. Please help me before I tear any more hair out, thanks.

Guest fordy Posted February 13, 2005 Report Posted February 13, 2005 Wanted : Working Vodafone UK PAYG MMS\GPRS\WAP Installation Cab file for a SPV C500 I had the same error as cat999, to get around in I did the following: I application unlocked my phone using one of the Orange Developer links. However, the page came back with an error and only worked with a refresh. And all this was done with a borrowed Orange SIM card in the phone. It did eventually work and allowed me to run a Vodafone PAYG cab that was posted on the Expansys forums. But unfortunately my MMS settings still don’t work. I went to the club i-mate site, but they won’t let me register I think it checks my IMEI and realises that I’m actually a C500 user (strictly speaking not an i-mate). Anyway, I suspect a new Vodafone PAYG cab is available, so If anyone has that could they make it available for download please. Alternatively, 1) Could cat999 please post the cab file you already have? 2) Could someone tell me how to get around the club i-mate IMEI site check? 3) Does anyone have a username and password for club i-mate so I could borrow it to get the cab download or could they get it for me? 4) If someone out there has the manual settings, could they please post them and I’ll type ‘em in. Many many thanks in advance if someone can help me get MMS working on my Vodafone PAYG C500.
