C500 Mapopolis and the parot ck3300 help!

I have just installed the ck3300 car kit phone works perfectly but i would like top us mapopolis i cannot get the gps mapping to connect to the car kit gps works fine when i use pocket streets but this app is very limited there is a lot of talk about the com7 issue. When i follow other peoples solution (turn mapping of before turning on the car ignition etc) the phone always says com7 unavailable the car kit firmware is 4.4 phone is Smartphone 2003 v4.21.1088(build14217) :?

First of all you are not alone (do a search on Parot 3300).

A friend of mine got himself the CK3300 and had the same problems with Mapopolis etc. You need to turn the ignition on but don't start the car then follow the notes in this thread

I know it refers to the Motorola but the instructions are taken from the Orange SPV and whenever mine or my friends Mapopolis comes up with COM7 and it wont go by trying again, then these instructions work.
