That's interesting. The new version is working great for me.

The only gotcha I ran into when I first installed BT Autosync, it turned off Bluetooth. Took me a few minutes to figure out why it wouldn't connect....

Just realised why it's not actually doing anything - I've told it not to sync after 6pm! :lol: What a plank! Time I was going home I think!

Anyways, feels a little slower than I remember (probably cos I've got used to USB speeds again), but it is working! Hoorah!

I tried the program when it was 0.2 and again now that it is 0.3. On each version I only get selective text to display most of it is of the grayed out variety. Is this white text on the white background? Can you force it to be black? I had to look at the animated gif to figure out which setting was which. Any ideas on why this is the case?

The latest release is awesome!! Thanks for integrating the features that were asked for. If (and when) I have to hard-reset my SmartPhone, this will be the first piece of software to be added to it.

I have the same issue, but it is only with some themes/homescreens. If I set the theme/homescreen to standard the text shows correctly. So I guess the used theme sets two colors to the same value while they shouldn't be. :evil:

Yup, only time I've come accross this is with custom homescreens etc... :lol: BTAutoSync - setting homescreen back to default seems to sort it...

If the above color is set to a value not equal to the backgound color the text should be visible. Change that value if it is, and you will be able to use the custom homescreen of your choice with BTAutoSync.

# Make sure your Bluetooth partner is in uppercase.

# Make sure 'Sync via Bluetooth every' option is not disabled.

In ActiveSync on the phone:

# Menu > Options > PC Settings > Menu > Advanced, 'Connect using' should be set to 'Bluetooth'

On the PC:

# Make sure your desktop PC is set to 'Discoverable'

Also, perform a 'manual scan' (Options > Synchronise) - wait for the discovery procedure to finish (20seconds) the select 'Options > About', the 'Last Scan Found' option (Under debug) should show the name of your Desktop - this is the name that should be entered in 'Bluetooth Partner' on the phone.  If there is nothing in 'Last Scan Found', your PC is not 'Discoverable' or something else is wrong (an I'll be scared  :shock: )

Let me know if you get it to work!

Out of left field here, would it be hard to adapt this software to upload contacts to a Parrot CK-3100 car kit?

the car kit supports OBEX contact transfer, and stores a list of contacts... It's accessable via bluetooth, and an OBEX PUSH can be done to transfer contacts from device X (in my case an imate smartphone 2) to the car kit...

This way, instead of sending contacts one by one, I can batch sync the whole lot...

I've tried it - Partner Status just says Waiting for Discovery after Searching for Partner. But I'm able to fire up activesync and connect via bluetooth to sync the phone so that's obviously working.

Re: the partner name, yes, the one selected is the same as the PC name which is the same as the name for the Bonded Device in Settings > Bluetooth > Bluetooth Devices.

Sync via bluetooth is not disabled.

UPDATE: When activesync is connected, BPAutoSync does say Activesync Status: Connected, but it says "Partner Status: Partner not found"...Very weird.

UPDATE 2: on a hunch, I deleted the partnership, rebooted the 5600, and started over...works now. Grant, you rock, this app kicks @ss!

Hi, this file has nothing to do with BTAutoSync - the file is the homescreen .xml file... Sorry but I don't know but (anything) about the homescreens.... ;) perhaps someone else could help?

I'd love to help, but you already answered the question :D

The line is in the homescreen .xml, located in '\Storage\Application Data\Home\'

Just find the file that corresponds with the homescreen that you use, copy the file to your comp, edit the line to some other color, and copy the file back over the original in '\Storage\Application Data\Home\'.

i installed this on an o2 xphone2 and it's great. however, it only works if i initiate a sync with the activesync software from the phone. the btautosync screen initiated sync does not work for some reason. and ideas? also, is it possible to initiate the sync from the pc?

If you're not using the scheduler, you can manually force a disconnect from AS (Options > Disconnect ActiveSync).

Staying connected is normal though and not something that BTAutoSync is responsible for...

oh one question garth did u work out how to make the app immune to a task manager all programs close?? i also close all the left over programs using power tools task manager and i always have to remember not to close down ur app!
