Guest uther Posted February 22, 2005 Report Posted February 22, 2005 That's interesting. The new version is working great for me. The only gotcha I ran into when I first installed BT Autosync, it turned off Bluetooth. Took me a few minutes to figure out why it wouldn't connect....
Guest stephen.gazard Posted February 22, 2005 Report Posted February 22, 2005 Will this now work with the MPX 220?
Guest uther Posted February 22, 2005 Report Posted February 22, 2005 Will this now work with the MPX 220? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I'm successfully using it on my 220.
Guest chucky.egg Posted February 22, 2005 Report Posted February 22, 2005 I'm just trying again now, didn't have much time to play earlier (hence the very vague problem descriptions!) I'm installing the the SD card, is that where you put yours?
Guest chucky.egg Posted February 22, 2005 Report Posted February 22, 2005 Doh! Just realised why it's not actually doing anything - I've told it not to sync after 6pm! What a plank! Time I was going home I think! Anyways, feels a little slower than I remember (probably cos I've got used to USB speeds again), but it is working! Hoorah!
Guest aadadams Posted February 23, 2005 Report Posted February 23, 2005 I tried the program when it was 0.2 and again now that it is 0.3. On each version I only get selective text to display most of it is of the grayed out variety. Is this white text on the white background? Can you force it to be black? I had to look at the animated gif to figure out which setting was which. Any ideas on why this is the case?
Guest smartgeek Posted February 23, 2005 Report Posted February 23, 2005 The latest release is awesome!! Thanks for integrating the features that were asked for. If (and when) I have to hard-reset my SmartPhone, this will be the first piece of software to be added to it.

If I set the theme/homescreen to standard the text shows correctly. So I guess the used theme sets two colors to the same value while they shouldn't be.

Change that value if it is, and you will be able to use the custom homescreen of your choice with BTAutoSync.
Guest icedmocha Posted February 24, 2005 Report Posted February 24, 2005 Hi, In BTAutoSync: # Make sure your Bluetooth partner is in uppercase. # Make sure 'Sync via Bluetooth every' option is not disabled. In ActiveSync on the phone: # Menu > Options > PC Settings > Menu > Advanced, 'Connect using' should be set to 'Bluetooth' On the PC: # Make sure your desktop PC is set to 'Discoverable' Also, perform a 'manual scan' (Options > Synchronise) - wait for the discovery procedure to finish (20seconds) the select 'Options > About', the 'Last Scan Found' option (Under debug) should show the name of your Desktop - this is the name that should be entered in 'Bluetooth Partner' on the phone. If there is nothing in 'Last Scan Found', your PC is not 'Discoverable' or something else is wrong (an I'll be scared  ) Let me know if you get it to work! <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Sorry to have to ask, but I've tried these instructions and it's not working. I can manually kick off activesync over BT, but it's BTAutoSync SP (v0.0.3) doesn't seem to work. Device: SMT5600 Partner name is all caps, set to the PC name and is the same as the Device Name Desktop is "discoverable" Connect Using is 'Bluetooth Last Scan Found: -icedmocha-

Guest CRC Posted February 24, 2005 Report Posted February 24, 2005 Out of left field here, would it be hard to adapt this software to upload contacts to a Parrot CK-3100 car kit? the car kit supports OBEX contact transfer, and stores a list of contacts... It's accessable via bluetooth, and an OBEX PUSH can be done to transfer contacts from device X (in my case an imate smartphone 2) to the car kit... This way, instead of sending contacts one by one, I can batch sync the whole lot...
Guest icedmocha Posted February 24, 2005 Report Posted February 24, 2005 (edited) Can you try initiate a manual sync? (Options > Synchronise) and let me know if that works... Also, in v0.0.3 you cannot type the partner name in, it is selected from a list of currently bonded devices. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I've tried it - Partner Status just says Waiting for Discovery after Searching for Partner. But I'm able to fire up activesync and connect via bluetooth to sync the phone so that's obviously working. Re: the partner name, yes, the one selected is the same as the PC name which is the same as the name for the Bonded Device in Settings > Bluetooth > Bluetooth Devices. Sync via bluetooth is not disabled. UPDATE: When activesync is connected, BPAutoSync does say Activesync Status: Connected, but it says "Partner Status: Partner not found"...Very weird. UPDATE 2: on a hunch, I deleted the partnership, rebooted the 5600, and started over...works now. Grant, you rock, this app kicks @ss! Edited February 24, 2005 by icedmocha

Guest omega2008 Posted March 4, 2005 Report Posted March 4, 2005 That did the trick. Thanks! <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Do you edit this code on the homescreen file or the BT AutoSync files. Where exactly do I go to edit this code. What are the procedures of getting this done plz :D

Sorry but I don't know but (anything) about the homescreens.... ;) perhaps someone else could help? G

This works as you have described. I am now able to sync. However, at the end of the sync, it does not release the bluetooth (i.e. it keeps being there). The options menu allows me to say "disconnect after sync" only if i use a schedule. Is there a way to do that for Manual as well? Again, thanks for your quick response. Appreciate it!!

Staying connected is normal though and not something that BTAutoSync is responsible for... HTH! G

Guest gaplayer26 Posted March 23, 2005 Report Posted March 23, 2005 Just thought I'd bump this to let everyone know I've released the source code - check the first post for details... :D Have fun...
