Guest awarner [MVP] Posted November 25, 2002 Report Share Posted November 25, 2002 All rechargable batteries shoud go through an initial deep condition charge which involves aprox three total drains and recharges but newer batteries like the lithium type do not suffer from memory loss as much as the old ni-cd did. So if your charger does not have this function a long charge would help with a small trickle charge at the end after 2.5 hours. It is also good practice to allow the battery to fully discharge once in a while this will help give it a sort of condition charge.
