Guest EMGenius Posted April 12, 2003 Report Posted April 12, 2003 ppcsurfr: I just tried that, it made sqat all difference!! thanks for trying though!
Guest MECX Posted April 13, 2003 Report Posted April 13, 2003 ive got this problem as well--pissing me off it is. my phone is also running like poo. it started as stated above when i --while using the full layout --deleted a text that i didnt read. the message counter is stuck at (1) if i change to orange layout 1 or IRis the (1)goes away but the message counter stops working---maybe time for a hard reset
Guest Monolithix [MVP] Posted April 13, 2003 Report Posted April 13, 2003 Or just rename your cemail.vol in IPSM. It'll nuke your messages but its not as harsh as a full hard reset...
Guest caio1 Posted April 13, 2003 Report Posted April 13, 2003 but after renaming cemail.vol and reboot the phone... try making "show folders" now I have a new IPM.Root folder with inbox, outbox, sent, deleted subfolders... Too bad. Caio
Guest Monolithix [MVP] Posted April 13, 2003 Report Posted April 13, 2003 All folders are duplicated?
Guest caio1 Posted April 13, 2003 Report Posted April 13, 2003 Excatly. All folders are duplicated. Caio
Guest Monolithix [MVP] Posted April 13, 2003 Report Posted April 13, 2003 OK, had a look around. It seems you have 3 options: 1: Delete and recreate your Activesync partnership on your PC 2: Rename cemail.vol again (not sure what IPM.Root is....) 3: Resort back to a hardreset...
Guest caio1 Posted April 13, 2003 Report Posted April 13, 2003 1. partnership deleted and recreated then rebooted the phone. the folders are still duplicate 2. renamed cemail.vol again but nothing happened. the folders are still duplicate 3. for the moment I can survive with folder duplicate... I will hard reset when a bigger problem comes. Any other way to solve without hard resetting is welcome. Thank you, Caio
Guest Monolithix [MVP] Posted April 13, 2003 Report Posted April 13, 2003 What did you rename cemail.vol to?
Guest caio1 Posted April 13, 2003 Report Posted April 13, 2003 the first time to cemail.xxx the second to xxx.xxx Caio
Guest EMGenius Posted April 18, 2003 Report Posted April 18, 2003 phantom sms problem sorted, see here: http://www.modaco.com/viewtopic.php?t=54501 (doubt this will fix the duplicate folder thing though) EMG
