Guest DancingMatt Posted January 16, 2003 Report Posted January 16, 2003 I had the lockup problem, got a replacement via overnight courier from CPW and never, ever, had the lockup problem since. Guess it's just some handsets. I also had problems with the star key not always working, and my replacement has solved that too... ...however, twice now it has just switched itself to "SIM locked, enter SIM unlocking code". Once when just lying unlocked, on homescreen, doing nothing on my desk. The other when keypad locked. It's not asking for the 4-digit PIN code, that didn't work. I rang Orange 3 times, got 3 different answers, turned it off, turned it back on and it was fine... If it comes up again I'm bloody returning it and getting a 3rd one. It's still a great bit of kit and I've got used to the slowness of it compared to other mobiles, but when it annoys me it REALLY ANNOYS me.
Guest nick_f Posted January 17, 2003 Report Posted January 17, 2003 Got my replacement phone, turned it on yesterday (Thursday) morning and it hasn't locked up since. I won't feel entirely confident until after the weekend but it's looking good so far... *fingers still crossed*
