I've been having a similar problem although I haven't tried different versions of windows. However, I have found that when attemping to copy MP3s to the storage card using player software I foudn that both MusicMatch and Windows Media PLayer 9 both display that there is no memory on either the storage card, or phone memory. I believe your problem may be similar to mine although I'm unsure of a solution......try looking into memory problems??????

I have a theory.

In Windows 2k, there is a Winzip type of interface available...but as default it's not enabled....so normally you would install winzip and in the case of the SPV Themes downloads, you'd open the .zip file, unzip and copy into the SPV via 'mobile device'.

Now, on Windows XP the zip program is set as default so when you open a zip file (Without using Winzip), it appears as if you're just in a 'normal' folder, when in fact you're in a zip archive.

If you're trying to drag and drop files from within a zip archive, straight into the spv, it won't work. If this is indeed what you're doing, drag and drop the files onto your desktop first and then try and copy them onto your SPV.

...either that or I've got the wrong end of the stick and I've just made an @rse of myself. ;)

"How do u run a repair on windows xp because this thing with using "ctrl c & ctrl v" does not work and it works on every other computer?" That's kind of odd... *I* am using WinXp, and I just cut&pasted your post into my reply using... CTRL+C & CTRL+V. I could have used the "edit" menu and gone the long way around, but my PC use goes back to pre-Windows days, so - like you - I prefer keboard shortcuts to mouse use. You've knocked my theory on the head that "only old-timers use shortcuts"... Maybe you learned from an old-timer?

To do a Windows XP repair, the best way is to use the 5 floppy disks that were provided with your OS, or, if you have it, the Autobooting XP OEM CD.

The other option is to boot your PC to the Windows XP screen, hit F8 and select Restore to Last known Good configuration....which doesn't always work.

Regarding copying and pasting; I don't really know what you mean. Yes we can copy and paste using either the Edit menu, OR the keyboard shortcuts....and?

Floppy disks, what are they then?

If you have the retail version of the CD, stick it in and go through the process as though you are going to install XP, at one point you will be asked if you want to re-install or repair. Choose Repair. Simple.

....there is a version of XP that isn't AutoBooting...and in that instance you will need the XP boot disks.

Also, make sure your CD-Rom is the primary boot device in the Bios. You can check this by pressing Del when the bios screen appears....(Or F8 on Dell PC's).

Hi all,

Finally got to the bottom of my issue with Explorer and XP. It appears that it was a permission issue. If I log onto my machine with Administrative rights locallly it works. Logging onto the Corporate account with my normal permissions doesn't.
