Guest declank Posted March 14, 2005 Report Posted March 14, 2005 I know MiloTheGreat. People dont give you credit when your doing something for nothing. No respect ! "How do we know this app is for real.... Hmm could even be a trojan...eek time for immediate disposal! " WHAT PLANET DID HE COME FROM! You noodle. Anyhow, Theres only one mod I would say Milo, and its a tough one ! Some junction info would be very beneficial. I only use the M1, and its a long road. No offence, just feedback. You the man ! D
Guest MiloTheGreat Posted March 15, 2005 Report Posted March 15, 2005 declank, thanks, for the support, I've no idea what he was taking. You reply prompted me to get a new version out... This one has the severity and is a little easier on the eye with the improved UI. The background is now grey/blue as the white was really startling when night driving. See attached and screen shot... RoadReportV4.exe
Guest tsutton Posted March 15, 2005 Report Posted March 15, 2005 Thanks for releasing a new version - perfect timing for my trip to Blackpool from Norwich this weekend. :D
Guest lighthouse82 Posted March 15, 2005 Report Posted March 15, 2005 cool, great app MiloTheGreat. i missed it first time round but will definitely be using this in the future. colours and text are very easy on the eye. the one comment i'd suggest is perhaps making a program icon for MRU purposes. cheers :D
Guest tsutton Posted March 15, 2005 Report Posted March 15, 2005 Thanks for releasing a new version - perfect timing for my trip to Blackpool from Norwich this weekend. :D Problem so far: * After doing the search, I click on 'New Search', the textbox is defaulted to number and not letters. I had to change it back to letters. This shouldn't happen. * Ugly icon I guess you forgot. * Change font to something clearer. That's it. :D
Guest steeljustice Posted March 15, 2005 Report Posted March 15, 2005 this app is wicked!!! i would like to see something on there which gave a timing, so 'as at 15/03 at 14.00 etc etc. love it
Guest Wombleuk Posted July 8, 2005 Report Posted July 8, 2005 Hi, just tried this app and is it excellent. Only one thing and it's nothing to do with the app at all. I can only get it to work when I'm connected to my computer. I have set up the numbers, users and passwords for gprs and wap. The settings are all automatic. When I try to use the app 'offline', I get an error 'unable to place call'. Can someone explain how the phone detemines when it will use which service? Will it always use gprs or will it default to wap if gprs is not available? I don't understand why it can't connect to at least one service when it's not connected to my computer. thx
Guest Blakey Posted August 17, 2005 Report Posted August 17, 2005 Nice application. Two things however: 1. I put in "m25" and it comes back with "0 reports". Yeah, right. I've checked the AA web page and the M25 is as usual full of issues. I tried the online version of this application and it also says the M25 has 0 reports. I guess it could be a tempoary issue with the data, not the app itself. 2. Whenever I put in a second search, it crashes. This error message is given when I press the "Details" button: RoadReportV4.exe InvalidOperationException Could not find resource assembly Application::Run+0xf rr::Main+0xa I'm using v4 (as posted on page 2 of this thread) on an MPX220. Cheers Blakey
Guest shocam Posted August 22, 2005 Report Posted August 22, 2005 Hi MiloTheGreat App looks great, just one thing though. I take it this is not set up to work with the C550s screen resoltion, I lose the bottom of the report and the bottom part of the word Road. Also, when I try to do a new search the text box is set to numbers and I have no way of switching it back........ Mike
Guest ccsnet Posted August 30, 2005 Report Posted August 30, 2005 (edited) If its any intrest I have some where the techy details for the Traffic Master, BBC TPeg and Getmethere Feeds. There is also the Highways feeds as well - most are publically available. I know this because I am involved with a PD project to support CarPC users with Traffic info over the web - and it works. This info is the able to be mapped on to a GPS map as your driving. http://www.infomatics.info/ Terran Edited August 30, 2005 by ccsnet
Guest Wombleuk Posted August 30, 2005 Report Posted August 30, 2005 Will it work with Tomtom on a smartphone ?
Guest ccsnet Posted August 30, 2005 Report Posted August 30, 2005 Will it work with Tomtom on a smartphone ? <{POST_SNAPBACK}>Infomatics is in Beta at the mo. The plan is that it will supply and receive the data in a standard format for any platform as long as some one has written a client. It will be open source infomation so I spose the answer is yes - if some one writes the add-in. Terran
