I think ruttonsoft homescreen designer is to limited, is their any software similer, but more functional. I don't know much xml programming, so basic code writing, seems a bit hard. Is it possible to use visual basic with the smarthpone sdk, like i read on ruttensofts homepage or is this only for application creation? Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
Guest chucky.egg Posted January 7, 2005 Report Share Posted January 7, 2005 (edited) Not sure if it's just the terminology getting mixed up, but you use Ruttensoft Homescreen Designer to create HOMESCREENS not PLUGINS Homescreen Designer is the ony one I know of, but there may be others out there somewhere, but it is very restrictive. Your best bet might be to design one in Homescreen Designer (or just download an existing one) and pull the XML apart. Try changing values and see what happens. It'll make a mess of the homescreen, but you'll be able to see what the settings do. It's easier to manage if you get a homescreen and remove all but 2 or 3 plugins - that way you can see the relative effects without it being too confusing.
