Guest mcwarre Posted January 14, 2005 Report Posted January 14, 2005 ROFL @confucious. Pondrew if you work out how much you get paid, it would have been cheaper to buy the ASDA adapter for a £1 than the cost of your time in this thread moaning about the lack of one..... :D :D
Guest Chaser81 Posted January 14, 2005 Report Posted January 14, 2005 Ah lay off the guy... Its not his fault he spent all his money on the C500 and couldnt afford to get the plug adaptor to be able to use it abroad! Having thought about it, my Imate Jam didnt come with a 1GB SD card and a GPS Navigation system. I am disgusted and am going to send it back to Expansys for an exchange.
Guest Pondrew Posted January 14, 2005 Report Posted January 14, 2005 (edited) Hehe. Who's moaning? I'm just enjoying expressing myself! :D Didn't pay for the C500, in fact, don't even pay for the contract that it was a free upgrade on (but that's a different story). So the £120 I got for it off my Dad was welcome. And I don't expect the world to be included (a 1gig card would be nice!) when I buy something but when I upgrade to the latest version of something I resent having to give up features I'm used to. Seems I'm in a minority of 1 having chosen to stick with my E200 for the moment. The accessory thing got me thinking. Not so much about Smartphones because I think you're probably right that you can't get a current gen Smartphone at the moment with international ac supply. More about which of the Pocket PC Phone Editions do and don't come with one. I've been shopping around lately and according to Expansys (they usually list box contents) only the old HTC Himalaya still comes with international supply. So I guess the change is one to all HTC products. C'est la vie. Edited January 14, 2005 by Pondrew
Guest Chaser81 Posted January 14, 2005 Report Posted January 14, 2005 I guess it depends on your priorities whether or not the inclusion of an international adaptor is important. For someone like me, and a few other people by the sounds of it, its not a major problem because I dont go abroad that often, and the times that i do, a couple of quid for a plug adaptor doesnt seem unreasonable. If you are a frequent traveller or businessman, I can see how the fact that they chose not to include it would irk you a little bit. Personally, the non-inclusion of a cradle in all new HTC phones (except Blue Angel) is more of a problem for me. My desk is getting untidy due to the amount of Mini-USB cables I seem to have accumulated between my C500 and my Imate Jam.
Guest woodster_x Posted January 15, 2005 Report Posted January 15, 2005 I have never heard such a pointless whine before. A travel adapter is so cheap as to be almost disposeable when you come back from holiday!
