Guest pcbinternet Posted September 1, 2005 Report Posted September 1, 2005 In regards to your problem, how many contacts do you have on your device? Are they stored on your sim card only, or a mix of your sim and phone memory. Are the numbers stored in the mobile number field? Also, if your device is on the orange network, has your device been unlocked? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Thanks for getting back to me Jason In relation to your questions, i have approximately 100 contacts, all stored on the phone none on sim card. Numbers are all stored in the mobile field and the phone is unlocked, in fact when i get a text message the pop up window comes up, i just cant get into the program to set things up as the program quits with the error details below. The start up screen opens up but then as the contacts start to load the program crashes. Error details are Smsnotify.exe nullreferenceexception frmcontacts::initcontactsform frmcontacts::frmcontacts_loa Form::onload+0x15 form::Setvisiblenotify+0x1d Control::set_visible+0x1f Application::Run+0x7 frmcontacts::b+0xa Everything works fine with same contact database on my c500. Hope you can help this is one program i really dont want to be without. Cheers Paul

You can do this by visiting the following site. http://developer.orangews.com/orgspv/comdefq.aspx . Sometimes devices from Orange have extra security profiles which can restrict some functionailty and cause problems. Do you have your contacts installed on your sim card or your phone?

Can you list what other applications you have installed on your device?

Guest ThatTree Posted February 26, 2006 Report Posted February 26, 2006 jasonh, are you considering porting SMSNotify to Windows Mobile 5? It's a great application, and since I upgraded to a WM5 phone I've really missed the functionality.

It's been quite a while since 2.3 was released and was hoping a 2.4 was in the works?

Guest pdonald66 Posted April 6, 2006 Report Posted April 6, 2006 Does the company that sells this software still exist? I have emailed no end of times but get no response - pretty poor that they still sell this but don't give any technical support.

I have given up on that program, pity tho it was a good program, but the support is crap obviously, so even if they come out with an update they are getting no more money off me.

Do you know of any similar utility that will work on WM2005 devices?

I also found the utility very useful and miss it not working on WM2005. Surely there is a similar app out there!! Anybody know of one?
