PLEASE HELP! gprs/mms settings for vodafone italy

hi everyone, well it seems that finding gprs/mms settings for networks is pretty hard but i REALLY need them for Vodafone.it (Italy).

i've tried the usual channels viz contacting vodafone italia but of course they don't even know what an spv c500 is let alone how to configure it.

i'd REALLY appreciate any help on this as i've been arseing around with it since christmas and am now starting to feel slightly dejected!

thanks for the advice.

i'd already checked out the article that's there but it's a few years old and i don't know if vodafone (then called Omnitel in Italy) has changed their configurations.

if you've got any other ideas i'd really appreciate your help. especially if you could take me through it step by step-for example the settings require me to change the mms setup in the 'configurations' or the 'accessories' folder-but i've looked there and there isn't this option. (my phone's an spv c500-bought from orange in the uk and recently unblocked by them too)

thanks in advance for any help you may be able to offer-seing as vodafone themselves aren't able to help me at all.

there is a minefield of problems with vodafone italia-i don't know why.

i've configured my c500 as per the omnitel directions given in the repositiry and they work.....usually...

it's worth getting the promotion 'vodafone gprs ora in liberta'' which supposedly costs 20 euros but you have to add an extra 5 on for the 'top up tax' which all providers here con out of people.....sorry did i say con-i meant to say charge.

then you have to call vodafone and get them to allow gprs from your sim-they are, surprisingly enough, capable of doing this even though you have to navigate your way blindly through their list of pre-recorded options from their 'help' line (and people say italians don't use sarcasm!)

the gprs ought to work then but nevertheless mine stopped working for a week or so towards the end of the promo last month-goodness only knows why.

i hope this helps-if the worst comes to the worst (and i really mean it) then call vodafone - the c500 is finally on sale in italy but under the name of i-mate sp3 (which incidently vodafone told me didn't exist-even though i've seen in the shops here)
