I've posted this question before, but no response. It seems that my SMT5600 and the MPx220 have diff. bluetooth stacks which contribute to its ability to change name or not! Guest ppcmd Posted February 5, 2005 Report Share Posted February 5, 2005 You can edit the device name via Smartione Reg Edit on your desktop or as I found to be easier. Once I have my AS name done I keep SmartPhone as a AS user so it automatically tells me to pick another name. What you can do is once you have the AS name done just HR again and leave the SmartPhone name in your AS on the desktop and when you sync for the first time it will tell you to pick another name.
