File Name :: Orneta Notepad

Author :: www.msmobiles.com

Category :: Tools - Productivity

Description ::

Some features of the program:

- read and write text files

- send files/texts as SMS (the program will show you of how many SMSes given text consists, so that you know how much you will pay SMS-wise)

- sending by Email as attachment: in menu "Misc. / Send via Email"  - see size of the text in title bar dynamically

- editing functions: Copy/Paste/Delete/Undo

- selection mode where you can select text for editing purposes

- searching functions: Search/Search Next (the text, that has been found is highlighted and the window is scrolled to the position of this text so that it is visible)

- use font of any size you want - very big or very small - in this way you can see much more information at once (small size font) or read from bigger distance (big size font)  - Word wrap

- Recent - list of files lately open - so you can rapidly open lately edited files without browsing them each time

- when you re-open some lately edited/viewed file through "Recent" menu, then it opens and scrolls down to the position, where cursor was last time you closed this file! In this way you can use the Notepad as a reader - it will remember your current reading position.

- opening/saving of files at any location is possible, thanks to built-in mini-explorer

- all settings are saved to the registry, so that next time you open the application they are not forgotten

- option to turn on and off the filename in the title bar, so if you have a longer filename the chars (number of characters/size) get hidden, or off the edge of the screen, in menu "Misc. / General Settings" : checkbox to turn on or off the filename display.

- possibility to specify a file to be opened as argument: create shortcuts or associate this program with some file types (txt or any other) and then you can call this program with command line argument, for example content of shopping.lnk can be such: 56#"\IPSM\Windows\Start Menu\Accessories\OrnetaNotepad.exe" \Storage Card\shoppinglist.txt and thus you will be able to start program with the text opened inside - immediately.

- when you want to send the text through SMS, then you can select mobile phone number for SMS-ing also from Contact list!

- you can set now, in dialog General Settings, the default input method; for example if you set "T9" as default method, then, if you exit the program and start it again, then it will have the method that you have set as default ("T9"!).

- "File Associations" dialog (menu File / File Associations) when you can associate selected file type (like "txt") to the Orneta Notepad.

- when sending SMS messages now you can pick SMS recipient from "Recent" menu position in the sending dialog - so no need to pick SMS recipient from full contact list - therefore much faster SMS sending possible!

- new feature in File menu: Instert a file - now you can insert content of some file opened through mini-browser into currently edited file - in this way you can merge files and compose bigger files from smaller ones

- mini explorer that is built-in into the program has been extended with the new feature: when you try to open another file, then the explorer is being opened in exactly the same position (folder highlighted / file highlighted ) as last time you used the explorer; thanks to this feature you can open subsequently many files from the same directory without the need to nagivate to it each time again and again from the beginning

- font preview field added to font settings dialog: you can now immediately observe how the font will look like, that you want to use

You will need a registration code for this application, click here for more information.

Sow how does this relate to the new orneta and development of new software and new versions of old software. They are selling their programs now but the registration site is still up. Who owns what?

Who else but Jackass would put a "Many thanks to me" comment in a post?
