i also have problems with it. it will let me play for a few seconds then freeze then play and freeze and on and on. i think it's because the SMT5600 (or C500) doesn't quite have the specs to run this smoothly. but i don't really know. try the game boy emulator, that works perfectly for me

I've got two games I use that work (Final Fight 2 and Mario Kart). I need to change the frame settings (look under display and change the number to 2 or 3) to get the games to run at a decent speed, but beyond that the games run just fine.

Did try Street Fighter 2 as well, but the characters just appeared as fuzzy interference-static type blocks which made the game pretty nasty to watch. This does happen to one or two characters in Final Fight 2 as well, but it doesn't make a difference to that game's playability.

If you're interested in Retro Gaming, try the PicoDrive too - I've only got one MegaDrive ROM to try it with (Streets Of Rage) but it looks fine and runs at a perfect speed on my C500.

Stupid question, when the C500 first came out, it had a problem with the GAPI Draw or something that made games displays not work properly. Orange released an update that fixed that - I wonder if your phones are still affected and if that's an issue? Anyone with some technical knowledge able to shed any light on this?

:0 I tried for ages to get Mariokart to work. I just gte the same problem as described above when I try to run it!

I know it's against the rules to discuss where you get roms from but I do own Mariokart for the SNES so I would be acting legally if you tell me where you got the working rom! PLEASE! I love Mariokart.

Does it matter if you intsall PocketSnes and the rom on the card or handset memory?

download a snes emulater for the PC to check if the rom you have got works - it probably will! Then you know it's the phone.

You should be able to find plenty of roms - just use google (but make sure your security settings are on high, you've got a virus checker on and try microsoft antispyware as well!)

Sorry mate, I appreciate what you're saying about it being legal for you to download the ROM but anyone else reading this may not be so scrupulous. Also, I can't actually remember where I downloaded it, so I wouldn't be able to help anyway!

I think trying it on a SNES emulator on the PC is a good idea - I've got SNES9x running on my PC and it seems good enough for the ROMs I've got.

Good luck mate.
