Capture home key

I am trying to do a pin device lock for the phone. My problem is in capturing the home key press and not allowing it to go to the home screen. I use RegisterHotKey and manage to get the WM_HOTKEY message when the home key is pressed, but the program is not able to handle that message before the phone returns to the home screen.
