Guest onie121275 Posted March 11, 2005 Report Posted March 11, 2005 The plugin will only work on Smartphone 2003 phones.. as its these phones that have the ability to detected the backlight going out. You need to install the plugin first then the hme files. Obviously you only need to install the plugin once. Get the plugin from http://www.madbeetle.com/Homescreen.html To install the plugin and the hme files you can do the following :- [1] Connect your phone to your PC and establish an active sync connection [2] Using file explorer on your PC, copy the cab file to your mobile device into :- Storage\Windows\Start Menu\Accessories [3] On your device open the accessories folder via the Start Menu. [4] You will see the cab/hme file listed, select it and run it. the plug in has been removed where else can i download it???? th Its a plugin just like the other plugins, so you can't put other plugins over the top of it. The Alien would look cool though Encece, but you'll need to change it a little. <{POST_SNAPBACK}>
Guest onie121275 Posted March 11, 2005 Report Posted March 11, 2005 Just the ani file needs signing - but please read http://www.madbeetle.com/mbanimplughelp.html ****************************************************************** New version of the plugin is now available. It fixes the NEVER setting for the backlight. It now uses the smaller value of between the backlight timeout or the display. If both are never, it'll be 60 seconds. http://www.madbeetle.com/Homescreen.html and it works on 2003 (not just seconds edition). Sorry no 2002 support. ****************************************************************** <{POST_SNAPBACK}> where can i get the plugin the madbeetle site doesnt offer it anymore
Guest tsutton Posted March 11, 2005 Report Posted March 11, 2005 where can i get the plugin the madbeetle site doesnt offer it anymore See this thread.
Guest tudor Posted March 11, 2005 Report Posted March 11, 2005 Maybe HTC offered them £1,000,000 to stop selling it and include it in the new Orange home screen in the SPV C550 ROM :D
Guest luchie Posted March 11, 2005 Report Posted March 11, 2005 (edited) ruttensoft i bet! :D <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I think madbeetle and a third party (modaco???) are making a deal to sell the plugin. Edited March 14, 2005 by luchie
Guest tsutton Posted March 15, 2005 Report Posted March 15, 2005 The plug-in was removed for a reason. So please don't post the link to the file, and please respect the author's wishes to have it file unavailable until whatever the issue is sorted out.
Guest Disco Stu Posted March 15, 2005 Report Posted March 15, 2005 Please note the first link, top-left on this forum. The success of MoDaCo is dependant on respecting software developers' rights.

Guest gpcarreon (MVP) Posted March 28, 2005 Report Posted March 28, 2005 Can you please make a link to this plugin?! I can't find it on the www.madbeetle.com <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Try the DEMO plugin posted here: http://www.madbeetle.com/homescreen_page1.html Use Opera browser or IE to view the files/links. You can also find the link to purchase the non-demo plugin using the above page.
Guest madbeetle Posted January 2, 2006 Report Posted January 2, 2006 Its a new year and a new plugin - madbeetle have developed a new animated homescreen plugin, plus a homescreen designer thats lets you create the animations, layout the plugins and animations on the homescreen, and build the cab. The new addition to the plugin is it can overlay other plugins, so you can get better layouts, and have more than one animation on a screen. Plus it runs quicker. The homescreen tool is for QVGA phones only. The plugin is backwards compatable, and works on non QGVA and QVGA 2003 & 2005. Get the homescreen tool and plugin here, remember its a beta :- http://www.madbeetle.com/animplugin_beta.html and help us to make it a better product before its released. Please let us know how it works for you. ----------- Madbeetle

I want to let the beta run for a bit and then it'll be available to buy so the nag screen is gone. All seems to be going well (900 downloads in a week) - no major issues so shouldn't be too long.
