Phantom MMS messages on C500

My problem is with phantom MMS messages, I tried the procedure in the first post but it does not fix this issue - can you suggest what might work for MMS??

Second, I tried to just delete the cemail.vol but I cant seem to back it up - it says its set to read only. I check the file props and it is not, any suggestions?

I have a C500, the cemail.vol file is in the Storage directory not the IPSM dir correct? (I dont have a IPSM dir)
