Hey, about the new res, guys yeah sure it's nice and all but doesn't that mean all existing programs (correct me if I'm wrong) will be made for the wrong res and won't fill up the whole screen? Do you think developers will re-release their programs for the new res or do u think you will be able to change resoultions to get around this.....or am I just wrong??? Any ideas anyone?

That is very pritty. It;s still quite big for a normal moblie phone, but then the large screen and the high res make it that way. I'm betting the second geneartion of this phone will be amazing - same sze screen but a smaller, sleeker case (like the evolutino of the SPV)

but I would seriously consider getting one as my next phone as it is.

What's the chances of it being available in the UK at a reasonable price (and preferably with BT - how can they leave that off!!) before 2010?

Intresting, why dose not C500 run 240X320 pixels then? Really wierd because its screen do handel it.

Yus but not natively, the physical screen only has 220x176 pixels, a qvga screen physically has 320x240

Yea, it definitely needs to have BT support before I would purchase it. The other thing, I've never used Zi text input before. I tried a demo of it, but my first impression of it leaves me liking T9 better.

Here's where I saw the demo of Zi:

You think it's big? Compare these stats:

D2000W: 93 x 48 x 24

C500: 108 x 46 x 18 mm

It's a bit thicker than the C500, and just 2mm wider, but it's much shorter. It sounds quite small I think.

I must say, if you disregard the fact that it doesn't appear to have bluetooth this device most definitly looks like the most worthwhile smartphone to date... think about it; people who want loads of features can use it, people who like small'ish phones can accept it and people who like "alternative" looking phones will love it too! ...

Am I the only one thinking "Orange killer"?

Well that depends who gets this phone. If Orange takes it on board it could be a boost to them but if someone else does, who knows. Does anyone know what HTC have up their sleeves? I doubt if they've been doing nothing!

It will be interesting to see who, if anyone actually has this phone. Has anyone heard of Newgen? Do they have the capacity to make phones in the numbers necessary and to the quality demanded by the phone companies - or more importantly by us?

Call me a sceptic if you like but, well actually no buts!

I'll believe it when I see it on sale, so many seemingly good phones never make it to market or if they do they fail to live up to expectations.
