I think I may have found a fix for your lockups. Well at least after a soft reset.

I found that there is an incompatability issue with wm2003 and wm2003se when spawning other programs in a certain way from the today plugin. Only when the plugin starts up from a soft reset on my wm2003 device.

It showed up on my wm2003 device and not on my wm2003se device. I believe I have fixed it for V3.00a (beta6) (fingers crossed for your HP)

Hi All

Ive just uploaded the latest beta V3.00a beta6 to the latest version post.

I trust this will be the pre release beta so apart from bugfixes I wont add anymore functionality to this version.

Instead I hope to focus on the addon package that will give much more functionality to the system. Should be fun :) so dont be afraid to add your comments and wishlists to the other thread.

I cannot work out why at times the setup and popup programs take a while to startup. Ill keep working on this but at this stage its a known issue.

Also I cannot figure out how to change the speaker icon to reflect the muted and vibrate modes. Im sure it can be done as o2plus does it but I still havent worked it out.

Currently the next full release date is set at 12th September.

Added hardware key usage to plugin

Remove widescreen icon spacing to stop scrollbar obsuring auto sync icon.

Changed spawing routine in today plugin to fix compatibility issues with wm2003.

Added bold text of current profile for all selection modes.

Added bitmaps for aplication and autosync in bitmap mode so the whole plugin can be skinned in the future.

thanks for the new version! The option for single click or not is very usefull!

I just tried to navigate using the keys but it doesn't work (MDA Compact = HTC Magician, WM2003SE). I can't select the profiles. Neither with text buttons nor bitmap buttons... Any idea?

Would it be possible to add some type of load delay to the tray icon program? Here is why I ask. When using the tray icon, I tap it with my thumbnail. This is relatively easy when the icon is not in the far right corner, but it is very difficult when the icon is in the corner.

The other tray icon on my device is for Verizon's Wireless Sync. After a soft reset, the PPCProfiles icon is always to the right of the WS icon, I assume because PPCProfiles loads faster and the first one loaded goes to the right.

What I do to avoid this is to remove the PPCProfiles tray program from the startup group and run it manually (from my Samsung i730's Launcher menu) after a soft reset. This puts it to the left of the WS icon so I can easily tap it with my thumbnail. Not the ultimate fix, but it works with manual intervention. Of course, I'd like (for you) to automate it. :) Thanks.

Hi Gonzo

You can turn off the single click in the popup by going into setup->selection options and uncheck the option at the bottom of the screen. This should allow you to use your nav keys to get around the dialog.

OOPS sorry I had a typo in the installation for the today plugin to allow use of the keys.

Will upload a new file.

Yes, that would work.

On another note, I have noticed that sometimes the black lines still appear when using the tray selection. However, I never see the black lines unless the other problem occurs where PPCProfiles won't pop up. I don't know if they're related, but they only seem to happen together now.

After a few very minor inclusions for scottb and justme of course.

Hi All

Ive uploaded the latest full release to the "latest version" thread.

The only change to beta6 is that the Auto Switch Template now uses the default system time format to help better cater for international localisation.

Its not that easy to change the tray app to always remain as the left most icon so I will continue to work on this and release an update in the future. Sorry scottb.

Regarding the icon positioning, a load delay would work too--I don't know which one is easier to do. Some other applications I have offer the load delay option. Also, I have found that the black lines still appear in the title bar sometimes, which has prevented me from using they tray option. I have been using the text buttons on the today screen.

Still getting lines on the screen? I havent gotten one since the "fix". Must still be something there to fix. I wonder if thats why MS recommend that all dialogs be fullscreen??

Hi scottb could you try this tray program and see if it works for you. Ive added a delay to it as suggested.

Just need to put it in the PPCProfilesPro directory to replace the other one.

If your happy with it I can add it to V3.00a (build 1.02).

I move your post from the latest release thread to here so we dont get that post messy.

Now to your question. I have noticed that with some other toadyscreen plugins there is some conflict. The one I get it the most with is o2plus. Generally if you do a soft reset after installation all is ok. Thats a soft reset not hard reset!

I am currently trying to get advice on where the conflict is so I can put a stop to it.

If you still have issues after a soft reset then you may have to wait for a update from me when I know what the conflict is.

2. I use Caller ID by HTC V1.20, which is pre-installed on my device. This software shall give me a personalized caller ID (ringtone and photo) when receiving calls. But it seems, that PPCProfile disables this function. PPCProfile should control usage of personalized ringtones by an appropriate option in profile settings. If priority for personalized ringtone is set, the profile ringtone should only be used, if Standard Ringtone is defined for that contact in Caller ID.

I've discovered today your software, and since I like very much the option of profile activate with D-Pad, I surely use your program instead of PZP or Phone Alarm.

Before I do this, I wish to know is the above bug is already fixed in the release version; I have a lot of contacts with a different ring tone, and I prefer to keep this option.

bretto, i installed on a BA running WM5 and it works great. Just one thing regarding the SIM PIN, is there an option to make that optional so it doesnt give an error with no pin entered. If i dont enter a PIN when i switch from flight mode to normal mode PPCProfiles complains of a missing PIN and i have to cancel that error message. My concern is security; with a PIN entered to remove the error anyone with access to the device can switch to normal mode and make calls. Without a pin PPCProfiles gives an error about a missing pin. I hope this is clear, thanks for all your work.

PPCProfiles-Pro should not cause any problems with CallerID. This app does nto take control of any incoming call functionality.

Hi,

I recently d/l 3.00a - but unfortunately I have had to regress to 2.01d.

Whilst I like all the new options etc - I really need the repeating reminders, and for some reason when I activate repeating reminders and also to vibrate all of the check marks disappear. I assume it is something to do with Pocket Plus (which I cant live without) as that program has options for repeating reminders. Strange thing is I do not have this option active via Pocket Plus.

I own a Blue Angel (M2000) with WM2003 SE.

I will watch this thread to see if a new version appears.
