Guest pd.ryder
Newshounds, Feel free to edit this posting as you see fit ;) I spotted this on Google:- http://weblog.physorg.com/news1299.html I've contacted Orange for advice regarding this issue. The identified virus is intended for Symbian Series 60 smartphones rather than MS but they have nothing in place to routinely scan for virii on their network. I'm sure this is the same of all other mobile giants  Orange did suggest I look at http://www.f-secure.com because "it won't be long before they'll be infecting MS Smartphones too" :D F-Secure do not have an anti-virus application for MS Smartphone at present, only for Symbian Series 60 & 90. Obviously, I'm concerned for the safety of my MS Smartphone. Orange Care inform me that they will cover the phone if the virus was obtained from within their site (including dowloading it via MMS), but if a virus infection originates from non-Orange sites, Orange Care will be invalid. Fingers crossed??
