Guest Tunney Posted March 24, 2005 Report Posted March 24, 2005 I use it for syncing every day and quite often for sharing photos with other people. With my non-MS phone (N7610), I also use it for playing multiplayer games. On a smartphone, I think it's a must-have feature.
Guest davejerome Posted March 31, 2005 Report Posted March 31, 2005 My car has a Parrot GPS module and handsfree fitted somewhere in it. So basically everytime i drive which is everyday i guess i am using Bluetooth.
Guest mike-oh Posted March 31, 2005 Report Posted March 31, 2005 Yep, daily! Active sync, radio/messenger around the house.
Guest djleekee Posted April 1, 2005 Report Posted April 1, 2005 Even thought I have had Bluetooth phones for a while now (the last two) Yesterday was the first day that I transfered a file via bluetooth - in the past i have always used the infrared ports instead. BUT alas, the phone I was transferring to(a nokia) didnt have infrared so i HAD to opt for bluetooth! I may use it again in the future! Leekee
Guest kurtfhouse Posted April 1, 2005 Report Posted April 1, 2005 I only use it to swap ringtones and pictures with people at work, down the pub etc....
Guest Nuri58 Posted April 2, 2005 Report Posted April 2, 2005 I'm curious about this one - lots of people complain that this phone or that phone doesn't have BT - does everyone actually use it? if you could include examples of what you are using it for I'd be really interested (never used it myself in a non-testing way) <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Syncro w/ PC, business card exchange, keyboard
Guest Nuri58 Posted April 2, 2005 Report Posted April 2, 2005 Syncro w/ PC, business card exchange, keyboard <{POST_SNAPBACK}> GPS and modem fo PC at times
Guest moosery Posted April 3, 2005 Report Posted April 3, 2005 It'd be interesting to know what the split is between those that use BT to sync as opposed to those using a cable? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> bt to sync, then usb to charge..hrrmm!! suspect its not just me that has to do that one
Guest bobdyett Posted April 3, 2005 Report Posted April 3, 2005 I've had my C500 for about a month now and I use it every day with a BT headset in the car and as a GPPS modem for my Dell Axim X30 PDA. I know that I can use it for BT synching but I haven't set that up yet. However I can't get it to do anything else! I can't get it to do file transfers or connect as a Personal Area Network. Am I missing something or do I need 3rd party applications? My Axim does all of these. Any thoughts?
Guest ChrisJM Posted April 5, 2005 Report Posted April 5, 2005 i sync with my pc using bluetooth, its just easier to not have wires trailing everywhere!
Guest wookiewacker Posted April 17, 2005 Report Posted April 17, 2005 i use mine most days either for bluejacking or for sending files to my mates phones but for some reason my phone dont like motorolas
Guest Confucious Posted April 17, 2005 Report Posted April 17, 2005 I've had my C500 for about a month now and I use it every day with a BT headset in the car and as a GPPS modem for my Dell Axim X30 PDA. I know that I can use it for BT synching but I haven't set that up yet. Guest kivster_uk Posted May 6, 2005 Report Posted May 6, 2005 Use BT for sync but sometimes for mobiluck ... always a laugh. Used in continuously in the first week of having my C500 ... now i rarely use it for much... although its always good to know i have it and i woul not buy a phne without it. Which is odd oi guess.
Guest simon211175 Posted May 6, 2005 Report Posted May 6, 2005 I have my c500 connected to my headset at least twice a day (drive to work, drive home from work), but I don't get calls every day so technically I only use it when I get a call whilst driving.
Guest justsomeone Posted May 17, 2005 Report Posted May 17, 2005 i just use bluetooth for bluejacking when out shopping... not that people want to add me etc ! <sniffs>
Guest Disco Stu Posted May 17, 2005 Report Posted May 17, 2005 Funnily enough, contrary to my first post in this thread, since I installed Mobiluck I'm fascinated by who else in any given environmemt is 'discoverable' on BT.
Guest allydent Posted May 24, 2005 Report Posted May 24, 2005 I use BT sync every day for web/IM around house. It's so useful for me, plus I tend to keep important data on a LAN server and I can connect via BT for viewing documents.
Guest extravagant Posted May 27, 2005 Report Posted May 27, 2005 I never use it... I guses no use for it but its good to have it in case u need it
Guest martinwilliams999 Posted May 31, 2005 Report Posted May 31, 2005 I use Bluetooth every day with my SPV C500. I spend about 2 hours a day in the car and talk using my battered but reliable old Jabra BT200. At home and in the office I use Bluetooth with ActiveSync 4. Data transfer is faster with USB, but I have problems with cables trailing where my kids can get at them. Bluetooth data transfer is noticeably faster with ActiveSync 4 than with 3.8. I have tried Mobiluck, I couldn't get version 1 to run at all and version 2 slows my phone to a snail's pace.
Guest Arktouros Posted June 13, 2005 Report Posted June 13, 2005 I use it everyday to sync with pc and for headset. One interesting question would be which of the two devices (BT headset or mobile phone) fries our brain more? Cheers
Guest FrankyG Posted June 13, 2005 Report Posted June 13, 2005 I Use it to sync between my laptop mainly, also used it to set up my c500 as a wireless webcam! Works great, was testing in the office as Boss early warning system ;)
